At 130 he has a H2H GOAT argument, yes.

    Other weights, no.

He's not in the welterweight discussion at all.

I certainly struggle to think of anyone who's a clear favourite over him under 154. So he's absolutely in contention for it.

I would say SRL is much better H2H. I believe Crawford ranks better H2H as well.

While Floyd have good defensive skills, he goes into a shell when pressure. Not a good mentality when going up against the ATG pressure fighters. He should have lost fights to Castillo & Maidana because he was too timid in those fights.

The other problem with Floyd is that he almost always had the reach and height advantage against his opponents. Maybe he intentionally picked those kinds of opponents and avoided guys like Williams and Margarito. Against guys like Hearns & SRL, I don't believe he matches up well.

Easy to say. Name a few, maybe three, that are so far above him that you have to exclude him. Head to head.

Robinson? Leonard? Hearns? Duran? Others? You could see mayweather winning against any of them. You could argue for losses, too. But how clear do you assume those matchups to be?

There's no rationale argument for Floyd beating Robinson, Hearns, Leonard, or Montreal Duran.

He struggled with old Oscar. Struggled with faded Cotto. Dropped early rounds to Judah. Dropped early rounds to Hatton. Went life and death with Maidana. Why on EARTH would he have a case for beating Leonard or Robinson???

This is why Floyd groupies get so much flack.

Floyd for me doesn't even beat Benitez at 147.

I'd certainly take Napoles, Gavilan, and Griffith over him at 147. Luis Rodriguez as well. Prime Curry I'd take over him too.

    Probably Basilio as well.

Hell he likely doesn't even beat prime OSCAR at welterweight.

You gotta be effing kidding me.

Robinson, Hearns, and Leonard are overwhelming favorites over Floyd at welter.

One of them for sure. I don’t see how if you understand boxing you wouldn’t say that. He could do it all in the ring.

Head to head? I’d be hard pressed to choose 20 lightweights to pick to beat Floyd.

I think he’s the best ever at 130 and unbeatable at that weight

Off the top of my head, I would pick: Benny Leonard, Roberto Duran, Ike Williams, Packey McFarland, Joe Gans, Barney Ross, Joe Brown, Pernell Whitaker, Julio Cesar Chavez, Henry Armstrong, Carlos Ortiz, Jimmy Carter, Esteban DeJesus, Alexis Arguello, Kid Berg, Beau Jack, Ken Buchannan, and Edwin Rosario to all beat Floyd at Lightweight. Honestly, I would even pick his contemporaries like Shane Mosley and De La Hoya to beat him at 135. Floyd had his hands full with a guy like Jose Luis Castillo who was likely inferior to Jose Luis Ramirez. If Floyd fought in a different era, his legacy would have been radically different.
