The fact that Callis repeated these fairy tales along with such ridiculous BS as Jeffries never hit a man with his full power because he was scared of killing him is absolute hero worship and twaddle of the first order.
We know you know f*ck all and because Callis gives this cr*p credence and lists Jeffries as 6'2.5" that proves he doesn' t know what the f*ck he is talking about either!
I want PROOF Jeffries broke Sharkey's nose and three of his ribs. I know he did not!
I want PROOF he broke Fitz's ribs.I know he did not!
I want proof he hospitalized Goddard.I know he did not!
I want proof he made Everett bed ridden after a bad beating .I know he did not!

When you provide it I will provide round by rounds summaries of both the Goddard and Everett fights and the rumour that the Goddard fight was pre-arranged and also that Goddard was accused of being drunk!
    Both men quit!
No bad beatings were administered, Everett was NOT down multiple times and I have the contemporary newspaper reports to prove it! What have you got? F*CK ALL!

I proved there were others who were eyewitnesses who say they saw Jeffries dropped by Corbett. I gave their names and provided their statements and the date and name they were published in the contemporary newspapers.YOU ignored them!
You have been challenged once again. When you find your testicles accept the challenge!
You are by far the lowest piece of excrement on this forum ,now you have an opportunity to step up to the plate ,find your balls and do so!
Callis reviewed 3 Jeffries books ?
Yes, read what he says about Pollack s book! Especially about him uncovering facts that were unknown before!
What does reviewing a book actually mean? I've reviewed 4!
H E Grant has reviewed several too I believe.

    Mcvey,

GTFO of here. You were shown up on Greb described amateurish among other things by Klompton. Who else know more on Greb?

At least you were wise enough not to wager me this times, otherwise, you would only disgrace yourself again!

Tracy Callis is an expert. A respected historian. Ask those here who know. You'll be wrong yet again. LOL

If you want your own proof to the contrary, you must find it yourself.

Otherwise, your essentially calling those who know more liars without proof. Lamely trying to shoot down the source of others in a higher standing only shows your stupidity!

Until then you're a POS, a gutless chicken, liar, and welcher. We both know it!

No proof and definitely no balls!

Here is a round by round eye witness account of the fight Jeffries nose was "split" which we can assume means broken in the 15th. Sharkey corner states one of his ribs was broken. Reading the round by round this was a fight for the ages.

I never knew this bout ended after Jeffries glove came off in round 25. Sharkey kept trying to attack Jeff as the ref struggled to put his glove back on. Then the final bell rang.

OK a split nose does not mean broken and a corner cannot diagnose broken ribs being sore or in pain is not broken......a newspaper account is not to be taken as gospel even then sensationalism sells was the mantra.......the great thing about social media is this sensationalism is being exposed and papers are going away. For crying out loud as brutal as the Dempsey-Willard fight was the description of injuries passed on from one story teller to the next except for the interview Willard did the following day with the Kansas City Star that kind of exposes the stories as dramatizing injuries to match the new sensation.

Sharkey had a fractured left lower rib.
This was confirmed after the fight by a doctor as was the fact that he had fought some of the bout with a dislocated right arm.Source.JimJeffries,by Adam Pollack.A man who does exhaustive research.
Lazy writers such as Tracy Callis just repeat stories they have read from other writers such as Carpenter1975,[Carpenter's most famous moment is his commentary of the Foreman v Ali fight when he says, just before Ali ko's Foreman,Ali is so exhausted he can hardly hold his hands up! " it was so wide of the mark he later did another commentary! ,
McCallum1974,Grombach1977,HenryCooper 1978[Cooper was a nice guy and a good fighter but his knowledge of boxing history is less than my partners! ]btw Cooper stated ,that in his opinion there have been 5 great heavyweight champions.
    Ali
    Dempsey
    Johnson
    Louis
    Marciano .

    No Jeffries there!

,Durant 1976, none of whom produced any primary sourced proof of their assertions and none of whom ever saw Jeffries, it becomes a self propagating cycle.

EG .Last night I watched a program on Box Nation, 3 well known British boxing writers were asked ,with others to compile a list of the best British boxers of all time.In justifying their choices ,one, Colin Hart who was a top boxing correspondent for over 30 years repeated the myth about Bob Fitzsimmons wife shouting out," hit him in the slats Bob ,"during the Corbett fight,it never happened, the only words Fitz's wife called out to him were ,"stay out of the sun Bob."later in the discussion Hart said "Fitz's claim as British is tenuous because he never saw the UK again," Bob Fitsimmons gave an exhibition in Villiers Street next to Charing Cross Road and was ringside for the Sam Langford v Iron Hague fight. There are photos of him with Jem Mace and Langford proving it.
In this age of PC's I see no excuse for such ignorance of the subject, these men are paid to comment on!

The fight was considered to be even after 20rds . Jeffries nose was not broken against Sharkey, it was broken three times in his career by Choynski,Fitzsimmons ,and Johnson. The split in it during the Sharkey fight was the result of a butt. The 25th and last round was filmed again later, because the camera did not catch it.Jeffries had bet $ 8000 on himself to win.

Every time I find proof you shrink and become even of a cancerous old liar.

It's quite humorous to watch you go in meltdown mode.

I quoted a top historian, you quoted no one and have no proof!

You say you know! Hahaha, just like you know Greb wasn't called amateurish and the dozens of times I have corrected you over the years.

You disappeared for three months from this forum when I asked you multiple times to pick a ring. ( FACT for the readers ) then came back saying oh I had some sort of surgery ( FACT again for the readers, my speculation it was for a new pair of b@lls ) which you never told me what it was.

Your motto is seldom right, but never in doubt. The mods should ban you again

    Ta Ta Tony!

No ,you quoted a man who was quoting others , none of whom produced proof of their assertions.
Callis does not even know Jeffries correct height ! That's how much of an expert he is on James Jackson Jeffries!
I can produce the round by round reports of both the Goddard and Everett fights which conclusively prove that neither was badly punished in their fights with Jeffries,in fact both quit and were severely criticized for it! This proves that Callis like you doesn't know what the f*ck he is talking about. he admits in his review of the Pollack biography of Jeffries that it is a wonderfully researched book that has brought to light unknown facts, facts that he himself was too lazy to put the time in to discover! My next post will provide the round by round summaries of the fights after which YOU say , quoting Callis, quoting unnamed sources Goddard was hospitalized and Everett was bed ridden for several days.
BTW Scumbag, I expect to be in Key West next April ,I look forward to seing you there!Unlike you I will provide details of my flights and travel arrangements so you'll have no excuse to ignore my arrival.Like you did when I asked you 3 times on here, via pms and public threads asking for your flight time when you crept into the UK after blanking my inquiries and only resurfacing when you were safely back in the US.We will see how big your balls are Jim Crow!

You say you want proof, and you won't do you own research BUT then you say this!

"McVea had fought twice before coming to Oxnard, once in Salinas and once in Australia; he had a reported record of 6-0-2 prior to this fight."

So I guess its okay to use reported records where there is no proof.

Gotta love your lame double standards!:D

Oh, he doesn't know what he's talking about? First off moron, as I told you Callis is a highly respected historian.

Secondary Jeffries listed height can carry, including the 6'2" 1/2 listing. Jeffries is most commonly listed at 6'1" or 6'1" 1/2 inches in tale of the tapes from the times, and was measured by Framer Burns for the 1910 Johnson fight over 6 feet.

But at this point in time you need to learn again....As I said Callis is an authority
