It was an ok victory. I can see people saying it's a good victory. I'm not sure why so many are saying it's a great victory. Morales had just lost to Barrera and was considered past it when Manny fought Morales the first time. Pac was a 3/1 favorite in that fight, and lost. Morales moves up to 135 and gets dominated by Raheem. Pacquiao then offers to fight him at 130. Morales tells him he can't make the weight and asks for a 132 lb. catchweight. Pacquiao says hell no and impliments a large overweight penalty. Morales looks like a damn skeleton at the weigh in. He does ok for a while in that fight and gets stopped late.

All things considered, I say it was an ok victory. Because of Morales' stature and the fact that he had previously beat Pac, I can see calling it a good victory. I'm not sure how beating a past it, weight drained opponent coming off of a one sided loss is considered a great victory.

It is based on body of work to jusge whether you won against a good opposition.

After Gayweather, Corley lost to miguel Cotto by TKO, Alfaro by TKO and other fighters as well. He actually lost to Zab Judah before fighting Gayweather.

But Corley is a very solid fighter. Gayweather's win against Corley is not bad. But it is not the greatest too. Solid win against a solid fighter. If you want to read it as the greatest win ever, then you can do it. No one is preventing you from doing it.

Very impressive and only getting better considering he's the only guy to stop Morales and did it twice. Even Maidana didn't have enough to put Morales down.

It's very telling that Maidana couldn't even put a totally shot Morales down. Even a past prime Morales is not a pushover.

The 2nd fight was good. Morales actually put up a fight early in the fight. And just the way Pac stopped him, I mean did anybody see Morales go to war with maidana? He's a tough mother****er to hurt let alone stop two times.

The victories speak for themselves, but it is the loss (Pac-Morales 1) that was GREAT for it shaped and pushed Pacquiao to become who he is right now.

Also, Erik Morales was not Shane Mosley-shot during those fights.
Remember his bout against Maidana a few months back?
    That's how tough he is.
Yet Pac KO'd him and then made him quit after being KD's multiple times.
Anybody calling that an "ok" or (gasp!) a "meaningless" victory is plain hating.

I swear *****s have the weirdest logic ever.

Let me try this, so Buster's win over Tyson should be named "the greatest win of the century" as opposed to how it is fondly called now as "the greatest upset of the century"?

meaningless beyond pointless, Morales as we know was the underdog in the 1st pacquiao fight, was winning the 2nd up until the 6th till his legs gave out, manny wins against Erik is the most pathetic from the list of fights manny has against all those PAST PRIME, DRAINED, CATCHWEIGHT fights that Chicken manny only accepts..sorry guys youre either stupid or have little to no common sense

cant believe the amount of worshippers and idiots voted for good and great

    :patsch:patsch:patsch:patsch:patsch
