Do you consider Mike Tyson to be more "skilled" than Ali?

Expressly different goals in the ring, totally different skill-sets. Apples to oranges. Both were at their best roughly as skilled as can be within their style.

    Ummmm HELL TO THE NO:-(

Ali had something most important Tyson never had, MENTAL STRENGTH,

Ali also had more balls, stamina, heart, chin , speed, corner, Dundee is unmatched, and fought much harder tougher competition, and size and reach, ALI was 6-3 225, Tyson was a short 5-10.

If mediocre DOUGLAS, ko'd a prime Tyson, a prime 67 Ali would have beat the hell outta him and stopped him in 5 or 6 rounds...

mental strenth? the guy had a training routine that probably far exceeded ali's routine. he would wake up and do his road work by 5am and start training through out the day to clock out at 4 pm 7 days a week. that takes a **** load of mental strength. add the fact when he was with CUs , that was all he needed,he was unbeatable until cus died and rooney left.

No, but it some ways, he was more technical, with would give Ali some problems.

Very different styles. Tyson was definitely more text book. He went to the body, employed a wider punch variety, could weave and avoid getting hit while attacking.

Ali excelled fighting going backwards but struggled when forced to lead. Tyson excelled when leading and couldn't fight well retreating.

It is an impossible comparison to make.

They were both the respective pinnacles of two very different disciplines.
