That back injury really must've ****ed him up, before he could even get rolling. He fell off the face of the earth. I want(ed) Pirog-Golovkin bad. :verysad
foreal... he could have earned alot more fans by now too. who u think would have came on top between him and GGG? it's a pick em fight for me.
Donaire reminds me a bit of Sugar Ray Leonard. Can be slick if he chose to but at the same time can also be hit. I think if Donaire wanted to be slick and boxed most of the time then he would but since he's so in love with his power he would rather get the KO.
That's just regular stuff on here all the time. The Slick Black vs Mexican Warrior rivalry will always, always exist. Entertaining as **** to observe as a third party, I get to cherry pick who I support just based on.... What I ****in like. Some threads I'll be arguing JCC Sr greater than Floyd and making Sal Sanchez threads, in others I'll gush about Pea being the most skilled ever and be talking up Floyd since he's my favorite active dude. Of course, anybody can and should be encouraged to like fighters for who they are as fighters (period.), but there's some truth to your joke. Just wait for Trout and Canelo to get closer. :yep It's just a reality, and I don't see much wrong with it as long as it stays respectful.
reminds me more of a poor man's Roy. a less talented version, minus the defensive mindedness. but a talented, well coordinated athlete for sure.
the problem with that rivalry is that it always ends up getting out of hand by the end of the day :rofl
I feel ya dawg ! I like both styles. My preference is the aggressive style though. I like the LION who goes for the kill BUT that shows technical skill and intelligence. I don' t like that DUMB Brawler and I hate the Slick coward with the soft punches who doesn't risk to get wins. Leonard was slick but I liked him because he was a savage when he had to be. Don't matter what color, I just go with the style I like. My father is a straight WET**** who barely speaks English but he used to love Hearns, back in the day. No discriminating here. I like Sal Sanchez, Hearns, Hagler, Chavez, Meldrick Taylor, Duran, DLH, Marquez, Pacquiao, Morales, Barrera, Finito, Ali, SRR just to name a few.
Yeah, who the **** am I kidding? :rofl The important thing to remember about the Warrior style, big sack and all that is that two of the all time greatest practitioners - Chavez and Duran - They didn't take punishment Margs style. Not even a fraction of that. They fought smart, and had exceptional defense for aggressive, come forward fighters. For anybody, ****. Watch the "Brawl" in Montreal... Duran slipped and rolled HUNDREDS of punches. Was actually insane considering how fast SRL could get off.
187! You killed it here homie! You read my mind. This is exactly how I feel about my preferred style of boxer. People call these guys brawlers but to me they are BOXERS. It's just a different style. Duran was amazing in that fight. And Margo is the perfect example of me saying that I don't like that DUMB BRAWLER. But hey, if it worked for Margo, it's cool. ****er is like the Terminator ha.
no doubt. problem with today's boxers is the lack of variety. so many pure boxers with no grittiness(like Dawson), too many brawlers that lack definsive skills(like Mares). but hey, whatever works for you. i like to see fighters that can change it up when things aren't going their way. i would love to see another James Toney come up. :yep
