The whole post, but you listing SRR stood out. He was really a complete savage in the ring who mixed it up extremely often, and probably had the greatest combination of speed, power and chin in ring history P4P. Yeah, he could get up on his toes and box beautiful, but he'll be glad to take your ****in head off at a moment's notice. And NO Tyson?! :shock: My girl's family in Michoacán (none of them speak English, unsurprisingly) even know him and are fans. I've never met a mexican/chicano that doesn't respect Tyson, and I live in Phoenix. :nut

Whew, I doubt it happens bro. Toney at his best was an amazing talent. I know he was drained and all that goes along with every big win, but the fact Roy beat him in the manner he did is part of the reason why I still rate him so highly to this day. Guy was an Elite P4P.

 

You're probably basing it on the fight vs Moreno because he changed his tactics. He was more of a brawler in that fight. He's better than you think.

 

Tyson was a unique individual. He was a beast but very short in stature for a heavyweight. He was a KO artist but never reached his potential because of his problems outside the ring.

 

i've seen quite a few of his fights.
he just seems to look completely lost when he has to fight fighting backwards. as if he has no plan b. it's gonna be interesting to see how handles fighting PDL, who i believe will eventually be the one pushing him back.

 

PDL carries punch and has an awkward style but I think Mares handles him well. Interesting fight.

 

idk, it's hard to choose a winner in that fight. i think Mares might be too small. don't think he'll take PDL's punches well. but he's got youth on his side.

 

Mares is at his best right now. Prime form. I think Ponce is a better fighter overall. More technical. Ponce has this awkward style that throws you off though.

 

I think Donaire has some slickness - but I wouldn't call him slick.
I'd call him well skilled and crafy, similar to JMM in some ways.

Rigo is slick, but slickness alone won't win you the fight.
Not saying Rigo only has slickness either.

 

Considering how vast and great it was, I'd have to agree.

 

Donaire kinda reminds me of the lightweight version of Shane Mosley in that he's an enormous dude for his size who possesses a wicked blend of power and speed. But while Mosley was capable of doing some slick things due to his athletic ability, I wouldn't necessarily classify him as being slick in the traditional sense. Same thing applies to Donaire, who tends to rely on power boxing and only occasionally flashes brilliance based on fundamental technique.
