I don't think Donaire is slick per say but he has good defensive movement and has one of the highest +/- ratios in the sport as far as punches landed/landed against. Honestly I feel Donaire can better Pacquiao's feat of wining 8 division titles going as high as 130/135 looking at the guys currently rated there I'd favor Donaire against Garcia, Gamboa, & Vazquez

He is very athletic. That being said, he isn't slick. When the opponent is able to get shots off, their fists are usually magnetically attracted to Donaire's grill.

You will see a prime example of this in a few weeks when the fists of Rigondeaux are also magnetically attracted to Donaire's grill.

He's slick but because he is so primarily offensive oriented and usually in stalker mode, people don't give him credit for the movements and speed he uses in the same way other fighters described as "slick" do.

The world 'slick' needs to be outlawed on ESB by threat of castration.

How is he offensively oriented when he throws 30 punches a round?

ive always thought he was pretty offensively oriented. Even though he has a low punch output it really also depends on who he's fighting. He's trying to get the reaction to punch back and really hurt the guy rather than throw punches one by one he counters back with combinations. He is a counter puncher after all but i could be wrong. What makes you think he's defensive oriented? :think

Donaire is offensive minded in the same way that Haye is, the moment he sees an opening he strikes and jumps all over you for the finish. Unlike Haye though, he can also force the fight himself when need be. Great fighter.

what the **** does black have to do with slick. a slick fighter in laymen terms is just a fighter that is hard to hit because of there movement particularly with there head and upper body. pernell whitaker and james toney were some of the slickest boxers to ever get in the ring.

i just dont know why im reading someone is slick or not slick because there are black. tyson, hagler, forman i guess there were slick because they are black
******ed ass people i swear !
