No ****. Too many hating ******s in this place.

Margarito is already considered one of the best @ 154 so a victory over Pac would be the most significant win of any fighter between 147-160 in a while.

Same for Pac, a win over Margarito above 147 trumps any victory by a current 154lber.

Whether or not they will deserve the #1 spot is still up for debate but a claim can easily be made for either one.:deal

Re read the title of the thread

Does it say one of the top, does it say top 5, does it say top 10?

    ?

    ??

Nah, it doesnt. It says THE best.... as in, THE man.

And there is only one answer to that.

you need to take another look at the poll results. It's pretty clear that people understood the question and know the answer.

:deal neither Pac or Margarito have done anything at 154 to prove they belong with the elite in that division. And to be fair, neither have Martinez and Williams with the exception of the one fight they had against each other that puts them ahead of Floyd and Manny for accomplishments at 154. A force to be reckoned with, yes, both Manny and Margarito have chances of being the best at 154, but not until they actually do something there can we get ahead of ourselves. Being great at 147 doesn't necessarily mean they'll do the same at 154.

Anything above 147 and below 155 is technically Jr MW territory....

You do realize the 150 catchweight is closer to WW than it is JMW.

Only by one pound but that changes nothing. I hate all this catchweight BS as much as the next guy but the fact is, for a jr MW title the combatants can come in at a weight between 148-154.

Briggs won the event against Vitali.

On a less serious note, there's no chance in hell the winner of this fight should be considered top dog at 154lbs. The fight isn't even at 154lbs. It's like saying the winner of the Super Six should be viewed as Light Heavyweight kingpin.

I would expect Pacquiao to beat anyone at 154lbs (aside from Floyd), but this fight with Rockgloves tells us nothing about 154lbs supremacy.

Pac aint staying at 154, this is his one and only fight before moving back down to 147 or 140 for Floyd or Bradley/Alexander or at a push one of Berto or Khan/Maidana. Rumours of Mosley are about but i dont see that as a viable option considering his last two performances were shocking.
