Do YOU consider Winky Wright an ATG?

    Agreed. For a while at 154, he was the dominant fighter, especially after he smoked Mosley in the "war at 154".

    Turned down Floyd, Oscar, Taylor rematch in the prime of his career. :-(

    :patsch Don't know about Taylor but Floyd wanted same day weigh ins and Oscar ignored him.

    He's not an all-time great. Hall of famer, though.

    Turning down 6 mill and taking Hopkins on after for 1.5 mill....what does that say?

    I don;t think he'll be ATG or HOF honestly.
    If anything borderline HOF.

    And btw I;m a Winky fan. I was rooting for him big time in his last fight.

    Yes he is an ATG. He beat a prime Fernando Vargas. He is an ATG in my book.

    Yes, I consider Winky Wright an ATG. However, I have to admit that the way he ended his career really hurt his legacy. Many people would think of him more highly had he just retired after the loss to Bernard Hopkins, instead of having 2 pathetic comeback attempts in 5 years.
