Wright was a great fighter, but not a legend by any stretch.

Legend or no legend Winky has an awsome resume'. Roll it back to 1996 and the first McKart fight, and then work your way forward to 2009 and the PWilly fight. Winky Wright is a BAAAAD MAN!

Is that the fight where poor Winky got knocked down around 27 times?

Winky was a great fighter in his day but he is NOT a legend, That word is reserved for guys like Louis, SRR, Ali, Foreman, SRL, and Tyson, IMO RJJ may be considered a legend but not Wink.

I think he lost both the Vargas and Taylor fight and neither of them are legends.
Trinidad and especially Moseley were fighting out of their natural weight classes when they lost to Winky.

I don't believe Winky is a legend at all!

    Yes.

Very unexperienced vs a good fighter.

An excellent fighter. I think he held his own with Hopkins and Vargas, whilst beating Taylor and Simon. Didn't have the most endearing style but he would be difficult for anyone to clearly outpoint at 154. He's not a top 100 all time fighter though, or anything like that. Excellent fighter nonetheless.
