Do you Euro's really think that Carl "Slobra" Froch has a chance against the S.O.G?

He can. But I dont see why he'd want to. His physical tools make him the better fighter at range then pressing forward. If Froch becomes a pressure fighter he loses his natural physical advantages.

Ward has always been a multi-dimensional fighter. Its how he was trained. He can fight southpaw he can fight orthodox. He can fight outside, he can fight inside. Froch was trained primarily to be an outside boxer.

Maybe. I think its going to be ugly.

Well I see we are opposite, it's ok, time will tell.

As I said, if I see Ward going inside and pushing Abraham in the ropes and all his stuff he did aganist Green and Bika, I can see a very good chance for Froch to cause an upset.

But if we see a Ward using is multi-dimensional talent and fight outside in a perfect win against a very determined Abraham (who surely right now feel pressure to deliver in his next fight), I can see a very brave and game fighter getting schooled by Ward.

So you picking Pascal? I just want to know so I can laugh at you when an American once again assumes the mantle of light heavyweight champion of the world.

If Floyd were British, he would be the greatest british fighter to ever lace em up. What does that say about your country when a ducker would be your best?

Pacquiao vs Clottey got 50,000 in Dallas. Mosley and Margarito broke the record at Staples Center where the Lakers play. If the fight is good, americans will come out and see it.

He was born in the phillipines wasn't he ? and then lived there for a lot of his childhood before moving to America and going highschool. I always counted where you are born is where your from. If he had kids born in America i would call them American. The amateur thing doesn't really count for much since amir khans brother represented ****stan in the Commonwealth Games even though he was born in Britain and lives in Britain, to me that doesn't really make sense.

Another way of putting it is if i moved to America and lived there for a few years am i then American ? or would that only happen if i became successful

he is american. he came to america when he was 11(he is 28 now). he chose to fight for america during his amatuer tournaments(even a few that were in asia).

khans brother fought for ****stan cause he couldnt make the english team. alot of athletes go to their country of famlilial ancestry if they cant make their home country.

he even said he considers america his home but he loves the phillipines.

    Legend.

Because he's a *****. And because he's smart enough to know that 3 straight bad performances would spell an end to his career. He figured I'll get out now and come back better later. And maybe he will. But people don't forget.

Partial credit. One is dominating, the other has proven to be a malingering coward and a non-thinking fighter. Ask yourself this: After his 'performance' in the Super 6, can Dirrell ever redeem himself to the point where he could be a HoF fighter? I don't think so. Name a fighter who started out so poorly and eventually became great. People don't forget.

    My take:

Froch would be the best-schooled fighter Ward has had to face so far. Kessler was good, but in terms of amateur experience and professional resume, Froch is a big step up. Froch has seen fighters like Ward in the amateurs, and he had a great deal of success so I assume he knows a thing or two about dealing with them. Ward had a lot of success as well, but I doubt he's faced many guys like Froch. Froch is just awkward and presents a lot of weird problems and physical attributes.

Ward won't be able to boss Froch around like he did to Green and Kessler. We saw that Bika, who isn't really that good but is damn strong, was able to put up a degree of resistance to Ward's infighting. Froch is as strong or stronger than Bika, better skilled, and probably a harder puncher. More accurate at least. So it'll be difficult for Ward to put Froch on the ropes and batter him.

Furthermore, Froch has the biggest balls of anyone Ward has faced. Kessler broke down mentally when he found out Ward wasn't what he expected (and that the referee/crowd/judges were all on Ward's dick. Bika is tough, but he's used to losing and probably didn't expect to win. Green is...well, Green. Froch is in it to win it and has massive amounts of confidence in himself, which let's face it, you would too if you were impregnating Rachael Cordingley. Froch's mentality presents a new challenge to Ward.

Froch and Ward are both students of the game. They both know what needs to be done. Listen to them get interviewed, and it's apparent that they know their boxing. Both guys train hard and prepare in modern fashion, and both guys come in fantastic shape.

Ward won't hurt Froch. Froch might hurt Ward. That's what it comes down to for me. Ward has been a class above the guys he's fought so far. (Kessler was good, but let's face it, he was blind for most of the fight and just wasn't able to get anything going due to the 'referee'. Plus the fact that there's documented evidence that he didn't train well for the fight and had a lot of ring rust to deal with.) Can Ward outclass Froch to the same degree that he has everyone else? I strongly doubt it, which means that he'll have to take Froch's shots at some point. Can Froch grind him down?

Ward should win. But I'll never count Froch out of a fight again. And this one is eminently winnable for Froch, given Ward's complete lack of power. I don't think I've ever seen a fighter as good as Ward who is as incapable of hurting his opponents.

Froch would rightly be a big underdog going into a fight with Ward.

But despite Ward having a big advantage in terms of skills, Froch has the willpower and determination to make it a closer fight than it ought to be.
