Do you fear/ suspect Bika is getting robbed by Manfredo's hometown ref and judges?

Reid had a point deducted for hitting Ottke. KO against the hometown boxer must be a DQ.

Well i think we got an indication of the hometown advantage with the "Knockdown". But it only made Sak angrier, and Manfredo wasn't getting out of the third round. :bbb

I haven't seen the fight but I heard a slip in which both Bika and Manfredo touched the ground was ruled a knockdown against Bika...that's two points right there! 2 more points deducted for this and that, and 2 points for free from the judges, and Bika's have had to win every round to get a draw!:patsch

I am so happy Bika did it!!!:happy :happy :happy

Before the fight, Bika said: "Manfredo may need to get a new chin!"

Manfredo said he had practiced taking hundreds of right hands one after another in sparring, from hard hitting bigger guys...

    ...guess it wasn't enough...:yep

...and that's why Bika's gameplan consisted entirely of going for the stoppage; he could simply have not won otherwise!:-(

It looked like the ref was very un-motivated to wave off the fight. If bika was in trouble he would have jumped in there all happy and ****.

What a ****ing disgrace was the referee's performance to the whole sport!

Our concern about the hometown advantage proved to be absolutely spot on: the biased ref did his job to protect Manfredo as long as he could.

The 2nd round 'knockdown' was one of the worst calls this year... it was so clear that it was a push that sent Bika down, that I'm 99% sure the ref knew what was going on. Both men went down, Bika on his ass, Manfredo's gloves touch the canvas and all of the sudden, the hometown referee started the count on Bika. What the ****? Versus commentators joked that it should've been a double knockdown.

In a round Bika clearly dominated to get a 10-9, he lost it 8-10, and we are talking about 3 points in different... let me tell you this: 3 points in different would mean 3 less losses in Manfredo's career! What a ****ing disgrace!

In the 3rd, when Bika had Manfredo hurt, he clearly landed punches before Manfredo collapsed into the ropes. While Bika did push him a little, as the commentators said, the ropes held Manfredo up, which is a knockdown, but the referee again refused to be fair with Bika...

The result is the same as Bika won, but at the moment, after the 2nd round and when Manfredo went down at the ropes, Bika was robbed 4 points already, and it was only round 3! I was mad even after Sakio knock out the hometown boy, I hate when a boxer is treated like Bika was.

To his credit, he beat the living **** out of Manfredo. Sakio Bika put up his best performance to date, and he'd give a tough fight to every SMW out there.

HBO should do a Bika-Andrade or Bika-Miranda fight right away... FOTY stuff!

sean pointed out first that this fight could be dodgy from the ref and judge point of view...with this being in Manfredo's backyard...but no one would have thought it could be as bad as it turned out to be, BB!:verysad

4 points stolen in the first 3 rounds...at that rate, if Bika had won every single round, he'd have lost by an 8-4 margin. I've never seen that in any other fight! Fortunately Sakio knew the score and went for the KO harder than ever once he realised he was getting robbed blind. And that was only the ref! Imagine what the judges would have done had it gone to the cards...:scaredas:

The reason why I started this thread in the first place was to bring it to public attention so that the officials would make sure things would be legit...the IBO people were the only ones cheering Bika after the fight...but they still let a ref like that step in the ring with them...:(
