He actually probably did the best work out of the former Tyson trainers from cus's crew. Kevin Rooney didn't do much else of note and Teddy Atlas got extra hype because he is a camera *****.
Yeah, he did a good job with Randall. Maybe Rooney didn't do much after Tyson, but it was obvious he was the best trainer for Tyson.
Rooney probably wasn't a "great" trainer, probably a good trainer. But because he was perfect for Tyson it would have elevated his status. Two great things don't always make a greater thing. Some times one great thing and one average, or good thing is all that's needed.
