The clear rounds are easy to score. The ones with ebbs and flows are much more difficult.

I won't speak to professional judges as they seem to be able to do whatever they want without repercussions most of the time.

And it's the promoters that pick the the judges so surely there is NO POSSIBILITY of corruption.

I clicked on this thread to see what kind of ***** comments would be in it - and humor myself...

    I was not disappointed.

You didnt know that if a person scores a fight differently than you (no matter who you are) - they CAN’T score a fight!

TBH I like the diversity in scores you sometimes see on here, as long as one is giving their honest opinion. And if a given scorecard differs from the official verdict that doesn't mean it's wrong; people can have different criteria as to how to score a fight (eg valuing volume over accuracy or vice versa), and as long as you apply your scoring criteria consistently that doesn't make you wrong.

    Haney Loma was scored
113.3 Total 114.57 for Loma by fans in BoxRec. Good score. No robbery. ESB on the contrary? Yikes.

Only 17 or 18k of the 118k voters who voted in Fighthub's poll scored Loma vs Haney for Haney.

    118k voters. Insane

    No he didn't

Ngannou, McDermott, and Wallin beat Belly through.

And so did the worst version of Usyk who that big, ugly, bald wild boar eating roid monster coward shamelessly ducked for years and tried to age out and Usyk would've 100% sparked him out cold if the ref didn't do his utmost to save him

Most people don't "score" as much as they use their bias to decide who won. A lot of people see punches thrown or being aggressive as being "dominant" even if the punches aren't landing. Like if one guy is being aggressive and throwing more combos but the other guy is controlling the momentum and outpointing with pot shots and defense, the average fan most likely views the aggressive boxer as being the winner. Another thing people do is over emphasize swings in momentum- i.e. knock downs and dominant rounds. Many don't score the fight as a whole, instead just remember the moments when one guy was landing the flashy combos, etc and declare the winner based on that.

I personally think it helps if you've been in the ring before, even a little. It helps you understand the moment to moment action better, like seeing if punches actually land, how well the defense is working, whether a fighter is actually hurt, what strategies are working etc.

So you are one of those that can't score fights. With one knockdown, you can't score the fight as a draw, cause you can't have 10-10 rounds. You can either have 114-113 Fury or 114-113 Usyk.
