Like for example you are only five (or less) lbs above your fighting weight.

I'm usually around 162. For club shows I like to be 160 and for the last two tournaments I fought in I fougnht in 165lb division, but I will be trying to get back to 152 for a tournament in April. I fought there in February and tried to get back down for the last two I had but messed up my cut and had to fight one division up.

My fighting weight is the same weight i walk around at. I dont need to drop weight. I have always been lean, and i dont put on weight easy. With hard training and running my weight stays at my fighting weight. I fight at 69kg, i have never weighed more then 72kg. The next division down is 64kg, that is probably too much weight to drop, if there was a 66kg division in the amateurs i could make that. I walk around at 67kg to 69kg.

Pretty much, but since I don't have much body fat it's a pain to lose those 5 pounds.
