An inspiration for turning his life around and for being in great shape for his age. A legend.

I see him as someone who would call MMA gay, yet enter the ring with a gimp mask on.

The man is a racist piece of ****.

Absolutely inspirational, one of the most inspirational figures in Boxing IMO. A man who came from the very bottom and has truly perfected his craft and been disciplined enough to keep his body in shape to compete with young guns at the age of 48.

When we look back in 30 years we will be able to say we watched the great Bernard Hopkins fight, I think he will be much more appreciated in a couple of decades.

Inspirational. The dude is 48 and still fighting guys 20 years younger than him for titles.

But he is also cocky as shitt, thinks of himself too highly and as brilliant as he is he is a dirty dirty ass fighter. Leading with this head, rabbit punches, kidney punches in clinch.

  10. He's a talented fighter, tough as nails, and will literally fight anyone. Even with all that said, his dirty tactics that he has used his entire career are enough for me to see him want to get knocked out. But it probably wont ever happen anyways so who cares?

Can we answer both? It's great to see a guy at that age compete. But with the nonsense w Joe Cal (racial) etc. wouldve been nice to see him put on his ass/ego checked.

I'm a great admirer of BHop, i admire his craft, his discipline, his longevity & perseverance, his toughness....

And i don't want to see him KO'd, BUT....

He needs to retire and stop getting in the way of fighters in there prime fighting eachother, with all due respect. Guys like Pascal, Dawson and Cloud should be fighting eachother more, not older guys like Hopkins and Glen Johnson.

Besides, Hopkins' legacy is made and then some. And his fights aren't gonna become more watchable as the years keep adding up. Although, maybe that depends on style matchups. His fights with Pascal had plenty of exciting moments, so his fight with Cloud probably also will.

But at the end of the day i, like most people would prefer to see a guy like Cloud mix it up with Cleverly, Kovalev or the Dawson-Pascal 2 winner.

Definitely inspirational and an all-time great. These days people die at 48, this guy is exchanging professional punches at the highest level of the most dangerous sport out there while standing on his feet for full 12 rounds. How can anyone not respect that?
