yes and while i respect them for what they get done i still feel they shortcahnge there fans with safty first style over opponents that they are far superior to both in skills and stature
I used to love watching Wlad before he got so cautious. Vitali also I suppose. I'd say out of all the fights I seen 50% were boring and 50% were good to watch.
That's a good ratio. Most of their opponents fight for paydays nowadays so I can't blame the Klitsckos for that. I actually like some of their fights but feel Wlad does fight too cautiously. Vitali was always deemed as the more exciting one but he has a better chin so that's probably the reason for that. Currently, yeah they aren't what I'd call entertaining. Also, they don't have any guys willing to get in the ring and push them anymore so I try to cut them some slack though I'm not pussyfooting around the fact that they are currently considered boring to me.
Yes. But that wasn't always the case. Vitali was much more enjoyable to watch before the retirement (plus I'm aware he's up there in age now). Wlad was fun to watch as well prior to the KO loss to Brewster.
Their opponent got zero chance, but they fight as if they are in there with a prime Tyson. Hagler was clearing out his division and people were saying he was beating bums and no bodies, that got him pissed more and he went all out to take his opponents head off in order to gain respect. That got him respect.
I wish Wlad still fought like this... [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GLDy88Ud5bA[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DNU9xKJSrZk[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UDf1opOXN9s[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sA7RZChqZiQ[/ame]
Wlad is like watching paint dry, so ****ing predictable, jab, grab, hold, all of his fights are the same:-(..
Lol yeah they do fight overly cautious and I agree those ko's did help Hagler's reputation. I loved it when he ko'd Mugabi & Hamani. Well I'm a big Hagler fan I love all of his ko's.
I assume you mean their fighting style, not outside the ring things? or combination or both? Yes their style is boring but so is Bernard Hopkins' or even Maywheater. But it doesn't mean Im bored watching their fights. Whether you find a boxer boring depends on many factors, often personal factors. I know everone here claims to be an unbiased expert but the reality is that every normal person is heavly biased. Most people don't even realise how biased they are. It's perfectly natural and there is nothing wrong with that. So in conclusion, I do not find Clits boring, but to be honest that is in big part because of personal factors. E.g. I can relate to them because they are from the same part of the world as me, and many other things.
