Do you get to use your own gloves in amateur bouts?

    Or are you obligated to use what USA boxing says?

    im in the uk an ive only been able 2 use the gloves supplied

    They will supply the gloves. Same with the pros. They don't want no Panama Lewis de-padding nonsense going on.

    The gloves have to be USA boxing approved. But unless it's a big tournament like Nationals, Golden Gloves or Ringside etc. your coach will have to supply USA Boxing approved gloves.

    In some parts of the country. In some big LBCs with lots of resources they have a glove table and the show host is responsible to provide gloves.

    No you must use the gloves that USA boxing provides at the bout. At least it was that way when I boxed years ago. I imagine it is still the same.
