Do you post every single thought you have? I think it's natural to get nervous before a fight where you could get injured or at the very worst killed.
Yes, it's pretty natural. It comes under control with time as you get used to it and get comfortable in the ring. Usually.
You're always a bit nervous, but after 5-6 bouts it becomes less. For me, I was almost too relaxed in the begining though, but now it's switched to more hyper-excitement and desire to get in there quickly. That's a good thing as my workrate has become higher... the way it was before I'd be sleepy and throw away the first round and have my coach slap me in between rounds. Threw away some matches I really should have won based on inactivity in the begining.
I'm the exact same way. I have to force myself to get excited about a fight and I really have to push myself to not throw away the first and sometimes second round. :-(
amy. atleast u can ask someone to handle w/e business u had to handle cus u had ur gloves on. imagine how homo it would be a dude askin another dude to hold his stuff so he can pee. all u would have to do is have someone wipe n that's not even ALL that necessary
i get really nervous before weigh ins because everyfight i almost have to take off my underwear just to make it.... but after that my trainer start making jokes out of everything and i dont really have time to be nervous because i have to try and catch my breath from laughing too hard
Seriously, all but two of my losses (one where I was just beaten the **** out of and stopped, the other because the guy was very experienced and outboxed me) were majority decisions (if judges scoring) or computer scoring decisions with 1 point difference. I could have won all of those if I wasn't asleep for the first half of the match.
One time I had to go really bad and it was only a few minutes before my bout and I was about to panic. I was running through all the people in my mind who would kill me if I asked. My mom was there, thankfully, but I decided to take a chance and hold it. Luckily I was fine.
