Do you give Dempsey credit for rematching Miske and Brennan?

Yes, Dempsey should get some credit for offering re-matches to Miske and Brennan. Miske was an underrated guy prior to his illness, and took the fight with Dempsey to provide a nice holiday Christmas for his children. Miske had a famous quote. To paraphrase it he said Dempsey can’t make me any sicker.


I also feel Dempsey deserves some security for not facing Wills or Greb. In fact Greb beat some of the same guys Dempsey did and in many cases has an easier time. I could argue that Wills and Greb were the 2 most worthy title opponents for Dempsey. So chalk this up as two duck for Jack, but not quite as bad as a the Jack before him, who pretty much shut out the four best contenders of his time.
