Im no Khan fan but alot of people slag him off for not fighting anybody! After 21 fights (I think) hes fighting MAB, if I had told you before christmas Khan would fight MAB in the first half of next year most people would have laughed....alot. So, do you give him his dues in taking a quite dangerous fight that could ruin his career or do you think MABs so past it the result dosent even matter?

Obviously they figure Mab is past it and too small but its still a big step up. I actually favour Mab in this so props to Khan.

does Barrera even have any speed or power at 135?

It looks good on the resume, I suppose.

It's gonna be billed as a coming out party for Khan...
(But it's one of those, maybe he will bite off more than he can chew!)

Barrera defo has the experience & will to pull a "Hopkins" on the young lion.

I gve Khan absolutely mountains of respect for taking this fight.

He was completely KTFO two fights ago to an unknown fighter, he must know hs chin is suspect and he's agreed to fight one of the greatest Mexican warriors the world has ever seen, although a past prime one.

He hasn't faced anyone close to the class of MAB and the fact Khan is still a 22 year old 20 fight prospect in reality he deserves huge props.

This will be such a hard fight for Khan to prevail and i can't wait.

Well done Mr. Warren, you done something right for a change. :good

No, I don't really give him "props" for it.

Kahn will have all the physical advantages: height, reach, youth
He is facing a guy who spent his whole career except for his last fight at lower weights.
Barrera probably doesn't have a lot of power at 135 which is Kahn's achille's heel.

Its good matchmaking. It's a high profile fight with lesser risk. And if Kahn loses it is less likely to be a further career worsening KO.

Yes, like you said, if someone said he'd be fighting MAB in early 09, right after the presscott fight, they would have died laughing.

Khan is gonna KTFO Barrera. The kid has everything going for him. Youth, power, hunger, skills. Barrera is past it. Don King has been protecting a marque name. Barrera is too slow for Khan, anyway. This is a mismatch if I ever saw one.

Win or lose it is a stupid fight. Whoever is managing his career obviously doesn't know what they are doing.
