Because I don’t. Lol And this all did cross my mind two months ago but nah. Dana practically moved Francis to Vegas and gave him a room at the Performance Institute with anything he needed? And it’s VERY obvious Chael wants back in the UFC for one more go. The dudes been kissing ass hard lately.

n'Gumboo got himself to that position by his spectacular HL reel KOs and physique

Of course the UFC are gonna jump on that

The outcome of Miocic n'Gumboo had nothing to do with White orchestrating some grand scheme

n'Gumboo wins and the UFC have a self created megastar monster on their hands

Stipe wins and he cements his legacy as one of the best HWs. But he's still no draw outside of Croatia and Cleveland

    So no, Chael's talking shite

Agreed. White and The UFC were hyping the **** out of Francis because they thought he would be a bigger draw as champion than the soft spoken Blue Collar Miocic. It just backfired on them :)

It's not backfired at all, because now Miocic has a win over this mega hyped fighter which boosts his own profile and thus the profile of the UFC.

Without the hype people wouldn't have cared as much about the fight.

It’s backfired on their hype train. Dana was hoping Francis would win.

He is in a win won, every time a fight occurs in the UFC. He just counts the dollars.

For starters Sonnen along with his fighting he has made a career out of making controversial comments, while occasionally he has some good info and makes some points I definately wouldn't rely or believe everything he says.

Its also amusing the people that still don't understand how ultimately Miocic benefited from the UFC trying to promote new challengers like Ngannou. While it may have been better if Ngannou won for them, the UFC lost nothing imo as despite the hate the win was more how good Miocic is then how bad Ngannou did. He will still remain a top challenger and beats most of the other current Heavys and will probably benefit from the experience just like Miocic will because of his performance in front of more viewers then would have watched the fight without the UFC promotion.

As I said before in other threads I hope Miocic gets the big pay rise he deserves and maybe some more promotion then he has been getting. It should be performances in the cage/ring that is enough to bring in views but unfortunately it seems a little bit of self promotion of some kind is needed and Miocic fails in this area almost as bad as Tim Sylvia was LOL.

There's some truth to what he says, but I think he has White wrong for the most part. It's Dana's job to promote events, not fighters specifically. The UFC has consistently promoted events, even Dana himself, and not the fighters. It's part of their branding process. The organization first, fighters second. Otherwise, the organization ends up with a fighter with power, like Conor McGregor.

I don't think Dana banked on the outcome of Stipe and Ngannou. I think Dana banked on hyping the fight, and appreciating the result. White operates on behalf of the organization, not the fighter. Dana wins when the card sales, not necessarily on who wins.

Even when I agree with this guy I just wish he would STFU and go away forever. He is lame, long winded and condescending and I cannot believe their are people dumb enough to find him entertaining. He's an incurable skin rash.
