its like comic book stuff lol....The fact that grown men think its possible and fight fans to boot, is really laughable...Like you say, a good gap between frazier voluntarily skipping and him trying to take a knee is what I see every time I watch it. Definitely never happened in a ring yet

It's too funny that he was seriously making the argument that Foreman's punch actually lifted Frazier into the air to hold it against him.

Its impossible, just an exaggeration that needs to stop when being serious. Funny though, in a pathetic kind of way lol

    Jesus Christ, what crap.

Liston had 1 (1) ONE ... count em, ONE successful title defence before Ali shellacked him. And that's against the guy he beat for the title  Wow, what a scary HW champion. I really don't rate Liston that highly. Was he a badass? Yes. But his actual HW championship fights are nothing to write home about. Objectively speaking, Wilder has been a better HW champ ffs.

Ali beat Frazier, Foreman and Norton, all of whom I think > Liston.

Like I said, you can make a case for Ali = #1, but it's not nearly as clear cut as people think it is.

You just completely missed the boat on this. I said "Ali is the Greatest" and that's not debatable. He's been known as the Greatest ever since he beat Sonny Liston hasn't he been? Look up Ali on Boxrec, under Alias what does it say : It says "The Greatest" doesn't it?

Hello Brainiac, it's not DEBATABLE that Ali is the Greatest! He Declared himself the Greatest when he beat Sonny Liston. "I Shook up the World, I Shook up the World". "I don't have a mark on my face, and I upset Sonny Liston, and I just turned twenty-two years old. I must be the Greatest."

Hello, He MUST BE The Greatest! Even Floyd Mayweather doesn't Call Himself The Greatest because he knows Ali is the Greatest. He's the Greatest. That much is undebatable.

Objectively, Frazier, Foreman, and Norton may in fact be > Liston, thats debatable, however it's undeniable that he became the Greatest when he beat Sonny Liston. He shook up the World, he shook up the world. You said what crap it is that I stated that Ali is the Greatest and that it's not debatable. Think about what you're saying. Everybody and their mother knows that Ali is the Greatest. That just goes without saying, and you're saying that's crap?

There are plenty of reasons that support the fact that Ali is the Greatest. Whether or not other fighters have been better is debatable, but whether or not Ali is the Greatest is not debatable. He is in Fact the Greatest.

I'm not sure he was that much out of his prime. I don't think the 60's version was strong enough to beat Frazier or Foreman. He comeback thicker and heavier noticeably in the 70's.

Can you please apologize for invoking Jesus's name and saying "what crap" when I stated a undeniable fact that Ali is undebatably the Greatest?

The way you said it and defended it, it was literal. I'm sure that Jesus can sort me out himself if he is so inclined ;)

As far as heavyweights go Ali probably has the strongest claim to be the greatest of all time and when you add his iconic status to his in-ring accomplishments it is difficult to imagine him ever being surpassed in the eyes of the masses.
However, from a h2h perspective there are numerous heavyweights I rate higher, mostly due to the division being far heavier in modern times, although even from the past there is for example Foreman whom I rate higher h2h against the field as well as vs Ali himself. If they were to fight 10 times I would expect Foreman to win at least 6/10 despite the evidence to the contrary we actually have from their sole encounter.
What makes Ali more difficult to gauge in overall aptitude for me is that a lot of his most lauded attributes are mental rather then technical. It is easier to rate a fighters level of power or footwork than it is their toughness or tactical awareness.

Just depends on the way you look at it, but more people believe Ali prime was before the layoff and i seriously just can't imagine the version who fought Williams ever losing to Foreman or Frazier, Ali looked in top condition against Williams and his weight i believe was 212¾ pounds which was almost the same weight which Ali fought Frazier and Norton in the rematches. Ali also fought at this weight against Terrell and in 1966 he was even at a higher weight weighing 214½ pounds against Chuvalo, he looked just as strong to me as when he fought against Frazier in the rematch, i believe he was not only just as strong but much better footwork, hand speed and reflexes . I know Ali was 217 pounds against Foreman and some people may say he looked stronger in that particular fight, but i honestly think if Young at 213 pounds could make Foreman struggle i can only imagine what a prime version of Ali does. Sure, Ali could be hurt and maybe even stopped, but for me the odds of him losing to any fighter in heavyweight history 2 times out of 3 is not very likely while he is in his prime, I have him ranked the best heavyweight ever.
