Do you guys still think AJ vs Wilder isn’t a close fight?

AJ has some flaws but so does windmill Wilder. Let's see how Wilder looks but I think this is a close fight and the longer it goes Wilder has more opportunities to win. Either guy could end this one early so I'm truly on the fence.

Joshua's chin seems to be underrated on here, it isn't made of granite but he got up from that klitschko right hand and survived a barrage of punches towards the end of round 5 in that fight. Simply put Wilder would have been knocked out by Wlad. I see this as a 65/35 in Joshua's favour. I think that Wilder will try to take Joshua into deep waters and test his stamina by using his jab and boxing at long range. We saw in the Takam fight that Joshua tried to pace himself better so he won't rush Wilder early doors to try and force the stoppage. Joshua will also carry the experience of sharing a ring with someone who punches even harder than he does in the form of Klitschko whereas it will be Wilder's first set up in competition assuming this fight happens in 2018. Wilder's chin to inevitably be his downfall - Joshua to win by KO.

This is one of those fights where i wouldnt be surprised if either man won early. If im honest fater Saturday im leaning towards Wilder to KO AJ with that right. Takam seemed to be able to find it an awful lot.

Joshua is a moving statue at 254lbs . If he fights Wilder that heavy there's a high chance he gets stopped.

He'll look like 235lbs Haye trying to catch Tony Bellew. Haye knew he had to slim down for the rematch. There was way to much muscle mass on him. He looks slimmed down to around 210 by the looks of him now.
Joshua will have to do the same because that extreme bulk is not beneficial for a boxer.

The bookies go with whatever they think will make them the most money. They're not a reliable gauge on anything. Most of the casuals in the UK were pig ignorant of Takam, hence some of the ridiculous nonsense in the build up to the fight and the overinflated odds. If you wanna go with what those idiots had to think be my guest.

Wilder got outjabbed by Washington and was having problems with Szpilka and Duhaupas. However snappy and venomous his jab is he can't deploy it properly to his own benefit else he would have beaten those fighters with ease. Trust me, Takam won't be seeing anything he isn't prepared for if he ever got in the ring with Wilder.

Styles make fights. Anything can happen when two guys get in a ring, especially at heavyweight. Either is quite capable of the win, but you'd have to lean towards AJ as he has better fundamentals, better chin, better level of competition, etc.

Overall Josh seems to be sturdier with a cleaner arsenal however Wilder is quite an athlete with impressive speed, mobility and engine for a man his size. My only concern for Josh is his tendency to gas a bit something we haven’t seen from Wilder to his credit he's always in phenomenal shape. I believe you’re in denial if you think this isn’t a dangerous fight for Josh.

Wilder (and his power) is massively overrated and has fought no one decent. Joshua stops him in 4/5.

It could be a tale of two fights. AJ has better skills, but what if Wilder runs and jabs a bit, and has more left in the later rounds?

I'd pick AJ, but this is by no means a easy fight to call. For the sake of heavyweight boxing, it has to happen.

Yes. Joshua knocks him out after winning pretty much every round.

First time Josh catches him with a 1-2 on the ropes its over, I'm going for the first two rounds. Josh's jab and Wilder's lack of jab will have him on the ropes in the early exchanges. That first combo what lands on Wilder sends him to sleep. Everybody on here can quote me on that when this fight happens.

It will go past 6, Wilder has never been in big trouble as a pro, he has been rocked or dropped but never out on his feet.
