Do you guys still think AJ vs Wilder isn’t a close fight?

I dont deal in myths only facts.

Joshua is 250 pounds which REQUIRES more endurance by the way he fights which is aggressive and always closing in and cutting off the ring as well as ALWAYS being in a space where he is always striking. Unil he ACTUALLY gasses and loses bc of it theres no cause for concern bc STAMINA is only GAINED with ring experience...again this is boxing 101...how do you guys not get this? lol

Wilder does not fight with a high guard and fights off the back foot and is about 30 pounds lighter....if that is proof he is in better shape than Joshua...well better you than me bc that would be false. Not only does Joshua move more than he does but also punches more frequeent with less rest in between punches........think about it!

Joshua didn't look the sharpest. Could be that semi athletic shorter guys with head movement and good defence will always give him problems, while the guys more his size, he crushes. That being said, I will have to see how Wilder looks Saturday. Wilder is clearly the more athletic of the two, and seems like he may have slightly faster hands, although Joshua has the better technique.

There’s nothing wrong with playing devils advocate once in a blue moon and while it would be wrong to say you’re biased it wouldn’t be a far fetched label. I think Josh is a marvelous fighter but you’d be kidding yourself if you thought his stamina isn’t cause for concern. Gaining endurance and longevity is certainly plausible but until I see Wilder lose his speed and stamina with a similar frequency and I wrote write him off as quickly as you do.

I’m not offended in the least with you boxing 101 comment since you know nothing about me and my boxing history. One thing I will say is as a fighter I’d trade in the muscle mass mass for fluidity, volume, endurance and agility. Also I never claimed DW is in better shape than Josh they are clearly built differently and therefore train differently, this is obvious and unless we put them through a combine we will never know who has the better universal athleticism.

DW is a threat no doubt about it regardless of your opinion.

Carlos Takam only survived that long because of his great chin and head movement, actually Joshua did better than
i expected especially considering his broken nose, i thought Takam would win at least 2 or 3 rounds before he gets knocked out late but it was a one sided beatdown from start to finish.

Wilder doesn't have chin or defensive skills like Takam and is a much bigger target, Joshua has to be heavily favored against him.

The fighter with the best chance against Joshua is Luis Ortiz in a 60/40 slugfest in favor of Joshua and i have always said that, Povetkin maybe has a chance too, maybe but that's about it.

Parker is a bit better than Takam but i can't see him giving AJ any serious troubles based on his last performances.

I've always believe it's a 50/50 fight because of the lethal spots coming from both. Aj is far more the tecHnically skilled but Dw has the best equalizer in the division. Aj needs a coupe more camps to start coming in mid 240's to 238/40 which will be needed to fight dw.

A fight i couldn't make a pick outside of a stoppage, unless both are too tactical and fight not to get ko'd which could end up being a problem

I think AJ beats Wilder 7 out of 10 times but Wilder will win the first one.

Takams in shape fight weight is close to 240,he probably performed better at 235 bc hes not tall and seems less sluggish. Maybe Takam beats povetkin around those weights bc he was 250 plus against Povetkin?

Either way this fight would have a very different tone with more training time for Joshua. I though he looked very effective and he seemed not to care if he got the K.O but my eye test tells me he wouldve before rnd 12.

Best chance at Joshua? well lets not forget his style likes southpaws which is also Ortiz.

I still think you also have to be durable and have good balance which is also Ortiz.

I guess theoretically you can say Ortiz but inactivity also has to come into play. which tells me maybe Haye? I say Haye assuming he gets a k.O win in Dec.. he has tricky style and k.o power but this is an unknown untill we see him again.

BTW Joshua's nose wasn't actually broken, only bruised.

IMO I dont think it'll be that close because I dont think either man has the chin to go the distance. Both Joshua and Wilder are one of the most powerfullest punchers in the division, if not, thee powerfullest. They dont have the chin though. They got heart. I think Joshua would win by mid round KO because I think he defends and boxes a lot better.

Of course i am talking about an in shape Luis Ortiz like the guy who fought against Jennings, i think if that Ortiz
would get in the ring with Joshua it would be a highly entertaining matchup, two big and powerful counterpunchers with great combinations, i think Ortiz has the tools to win some exchanges and he definitely has the power to hurt Joshua therefore i would give him a 40% chance.

I don't know about Haye, i need to see him against Bellew, he really should make easy work of him if he wants to be in a discussion about fighters who could potentially beat Joshua.

If this fight happens next year I might leaving towards Wilder taking advantage of AJs stamina issues.

Haye is washed up if you can’t beat Bellew then you have no business fighting a top HW.

AJ if he was lighter , quicker on his feet and had a better work-rate would win. But the current stiff and slow AJ gets clipped and taken out.
Joshua is the better boxer technically , but you can only swing those tree trunk arms around for so long. His physique isn't beneficial to the fight game.

I'm surprised some of you think this goes to the later rounds, as both are arguably the hardest hitters in the division and both could KO one another pretty early. I don't think stamina plays an effect in this fight at all.

The bodybuilder Joshua thinks its a olympia competition with each passing fight. Basically he can't afford to come heavier than 250, against the devastating bronze bomber. If he does he will leave in a body bag.
