Short answer: No. If I were Helenius's promoter, I'd want to talk really big but never have him fight a Klitschko. He'd be competitive against most top 10 guys, but he'd get obliterated by any Klit, and frankly, I think he'd lose to guys like Eddie Chambers, Sasha Povetkin or maybe even Tony Thompson. His record is somewhat of a mirage really. He's not bad, don't get me wrong, but someone who is actually a good boxer and has stamina would beat him pretty easily as long as they don't get knocked out first. Helenius is trained by Ulli Wegner, and has a lot of the same advantages and flaws as most of his fighters - he fights in spurts, he doesn't know how to fight back when he's under fire, and he'll wilt if he ever gets constant pressure (which hasn't happened to him yet). I can't think of a time a Wegner fighter has done well against either a good boxer or a guy who applies constant pressure - Ottke vs Reid, Abraham vs Froch, Huck vs Cunningham, Abraham vs Dirrell, Urkal vs. shot to hell Gatti, Beyer vs Kessler, etc. Wegner is a very good trainer for guys who have limited talent like Helenius and Abraham and Huck, but he can only take them so far, and I suspect that if he got a spectacular talent in his stable, he'd hold him back.
Hell no. If Helenius got in proper shape and worked on his flaws for a few years he might be a challenge, but as it is he is barely at contender level.
Vitali is probably dying to fight him. If you had Vitali's skills, wouldn't you be tired of fighting bums? Now he has to chase David Haye around the ring for 12 rounds, because there's nobody else who'll take the gig. It must be like being in Hell.
Helenius said he was not ready for Vitali or Vlad yet.....................Vitali would be too much for Helenius and Helenius knows it.
