Do You Hate Or Love A Big Mouth Boxer?

Don't really care either way. It just depends on the fighter.

 

They have to be able to back it up tho.

 

I persoanlly like them. Makes the press conferences very interesting and gets you pumped about the fight more.

 

It depends on what comes out of their mouth.

If its pure utter crap and completely disrespectful to the sport and fighters then the dude is easy to hate.

If its someone who makes it fun a la Mayorga then its different.

 

I do. Moments like Mayorga talking about wives, Tyson threatening to eat kids, Floyd pulling out chickens, Hopkins stomping country flags, I LOVE IT!

 

LMAO, imagine a Mayorga-Mayweather presser.

 

Most of the time I don't like big mouth fighters, esp. Haye.

 

Don't really care if they're loudmouthed or quiet. Doesn't bother me much one way or the other. Talk is cheap in boxing so all that talk is really meaninglesss anyway.
A lot of **** talkers end up getting their heads handed to them in the end.

Although if they happen to be funny I don't mind listening in on them during press conferences.

 

It takes a lot for me to dislike a fighter based on his personality/public persona.

Some of the loud mouths I do like, and some I don't, but that's mostly due to their fighting style in the ring rather than their words.

The trash talk of fighters such as Mayorga, Ali, and Bramble, however, were at times pretty distasteful and below the belt, IMO.

 

The best is when the Big Mouths are shut. Like when Hopkins lost against Taylor the 1st time. The nauseated look in his face was more priceless than the Hope Diamond.

 

Only if they can back it up.
