Do you hold it against Jack Dempsey for not fighting Harry Greb?

Oh, the irony of this. Maybe Jack Johnson was ranked #1 from parts of 1903 until Hart beat him in 1905, but you have 20 statements on Jeffries ducking him. Eventually, he returned to make the fight in 1910.

It seems like your two favorites are the Jacks. One avoided Langford, Jeannette, and McVey as champion, the other Wills, and Greb. Both had early Ko's losses. Neither of whom was born with the name Jack. There's similarities between the Jacks, in and out of the ring.

Dempsey may have not wished to cross "The color line", but it's relevant to note that he had black sparring partners including Big Bill Tate. Tate was Also in Dempseys corner at the Willard fight ... he's on YouTube videos.

It's perhaps also relevant that Tate, Dempsey's sparring partner drew with Wills once and beat him on a foul on another occasion.

You must be a fan of Shakespeare, as your as ironic as they come, sometimes using a double entendre.

Okay, I created a thread on this topic. Do us a favor; please stay out of the new thread I created if you're capable of doing it.

    Big fan of Shakespeare.
Not so big a fan of "excellent rakings" :wanker

You don't create threads, you just type hate mail ,and it doesn't even have the saving grace of having any variety in it .

I have a new thread on the Jack's. From 1909-1914 ( 6 years ) Johnson didn't fight a #1-#3 ranked guy, so you are correct. Dempsey holds the record if Wills was raked #1 for seven years.

Well, I'm using Matt D's rankings and Matt McGrain's top 50, both are good. You can laugh them off or go into an immediate spin mode.

Everyone knows Johnson avoided the best as champion, even you admit it. Same for Dempsey with Wills. But the interesting this is seeing how they fared vs. top ten guys as champion I think.

Its good to hear you're a fan of Shakespeare, I might remember that in the future, correcting you as needed with his words. In this thread, "I would challenge you to a battle of wits, but I can see you are unarmed. "

Your only winning move it not to play. Facts are stubborn things, aren't they?

What you need to do is get your tiny brain around why Johnson did not defend against Jeannette ,Langford, or McVey.
That of course is a bit too much for you to cope with.
Just as when I asked you to produce a verified offer of $30,000,[Johnson's price to defend his crown] against any of the three that Johnson refused,All these years and you still haven't done so.

    And you never will!
