Do you honestly believe Canelo is a better fighter than Cotto?

Can't tell you now. Let me see Canelo in a few more tough fights, particularly the fight against Mosley.

 

At this point, cotto is miles ahead in terms of skills and ring accomplishments. But obviously canelo is still young, and the good thing is that each and every fight he seems to employ and show a new part to his game, for instance the shoulder roll during the gomez fight which even though, quite odd looking, was still unique for a mexican fighter to do. When all is said and done, only time can tell.....

 

Yes, not only is Canelo better than Cotto, Canelo is the best fighter at 154. Period

Cotto is the better fighter. Canelo is still green and needs more time for serious fights. The man's biggest fight is soon to come against an ancient Mosley, enough said really.

Alfonso Gomez is a can, the guy gets KO'd by jabs. He's not one you would want to use as an example.

1. better then Cotto
2. best at 154

Right now, everything about Canelo is based on his popularity and potential. And that's fine, the kid's what, 21? Wake me up when he beats a top JrMW.

Hard to say at this point, as few are fighting one another. But I think Bundrage's wins over Powell and Spinks should have him ranked higher then Canelo.

And I don't see that changing as I doubt Canelo will face a tough JrMW unless they are high profile and known. I see more 'safe' fights for him, unless he's fed to Mayweather next.
