Do you honestly believe Canelo is a better fighter than Cotto?

I would love to see Canelo face Mayweather next. I am very confident that Canelo will beat Mayweather

 

Canelo has not done enough to prove that he is better than Cotto at this point. Sure he's got the potential to be better, but that has yet to be seen.

So as of now, the answer is NO.

People need to keep it in perspective. Canelo @ 21 isn't in any way a better boxer than Cotto is now, but he is definitely a better boxer than a 21 year old Cotto.

Now when canelo who still has about a decade to reach 30.. then we can compare much more evenly and accurately... skillwise the disparity aint so far right now...to currently be ranked alongside and compared to a good fighter in cotto is a compliment.

I had to comment, you make a decent thread then **** on it by mentioning Gomez who canelo knocked down with a jab, then rocked him hard and proceeded to back pedal in fear as canelo comes rushing in but Gomez gets saved by weeks who is known for early stoppages.. ****ing canelo wasn't even respecting Gomez by testing out shoulder rolls and fighting off the ropes like may who he has said many times he studies and admires...
