Do you honestly think the KO would have counted had Ortiz done it to Mayweather??

Because, you're probably, ever so slightly, mentally ill.

    I'd wager Auspergers syndrome (autism)

My how I wish both referees had swapped places. Bayless was too allowing and Cortez was too stupid. This sort of fight was Cortez' ballpark. An earlier stoppage would've been granted and saved the kid a vicious beating.

Seriously, I know you *******s maybe get a rough ride from real fans, but seriously, you totally deserve it!

Every time the guy fights, and wins, no matter what happens, it's little more than endless conspiracy theories, childish taunts, claims of fixes, and things like that.

You know, do you not see how dumb it sounds, like for every single outcome, no matter what happens!

    I just don't get it.

Both Mayweather, and Cortez play it exactly by the book. Follow the rules to the letter.

Every pundit on the planet agrees.

And you still have fans, claiming something was wrong, just because they don't like what happened.

    Want to know the truth.

If it had happened the other way, you guys would have been celebrating so hard, that you'd probably still not be on here, as the party wouldn't have finished.

You'd be proclaiming Ortiz as the most honest, brave, brilliant fighter of all time.

And you'd be demanding Cortez be given an honour, in both the US, and the Phillipines for his brilliant application of boxing law.

And if you say this isn't true your lying

If Ortiz was up 4-0 and had buckled Floyd's legs and swoll up his eye, and Floyd resorted to headbutting, then yes I would have counted it.

Hell no. Too many people deep in Floyd's pockets in that bout.

Not that he needed 'em anyways to beat Ortiz.:?

there would have been a huge demand for a rematch and people would say they considered floyd to be undeafted still.

the fact it happened to a guy who was clearly overmatched made it pretty easy to accept. you would not want to see the better man lose like that though.

First thing is, Floyd is a master boxer and would have never put himself in the position of being defenseless.

Second, had Ortiz came out pretending to embrace and tried a sucker punch, Floyd's reflexes are so good, he would have rolled with it and Ortiz would not have been able to land that second shot.

    Thread closed!

Actually the round didnt start or else the bell would have rung before he counted to ten.

Floyd has never nor will ever be in that position because he protects himself at all times, being a professional fighter and all.

Yes it would have. This is assuming that Mayweather gets caught. If you watch the end of the fight Mayweather keeps his hands up, the whole time. Protecting himself at all times, while Ortiz failing to heed the rule to protect yourself at all times has his hands at his side and pays for it.

cortez didn't follow the rules to the letter. this is how you're supposed to "time in" the fight.

this is how you restart the fight. "time in". cortez's fault.

watch from 42:00 mark. note the "time in" at 42:38
