    If i remember correctly the only casino in Vegas sponsoring odds, was the Mirage, and Mike was a 42-1 favorite:deal..

    I can't remember if there were any takers on Buster , it was too many years ago...

    There were probably quite a few betters on Douglas.
    The casino sets the odds to get an equal amount of money on each side.

    As I recall,there was one bet by a roller from Ohio(busters home State) who did place a $100,000 bet on Douglas and scored big time.Must be nice.:thumbsup

    Eddie Futch picked Douglas to beat Tyson, he should have put some money down

    Nobody I know, including myself(although I'm not a gambler). There was pure surprise and shock for me at the end of that one.

    Biggest shock ever. I did have a nose for upsets around this time but there's no way on Earth,Heaven or Hades did I see THIS one coming.

    Nope. I remember thinking it would be a decent fight and that people were underestimating Douglas (who had looked good vs Tucker and had a great jab). But to me that meant the first few rounds might be competitive and he might go the distance. Douglas actually winning the fight was not something I even contemplated.

    Considering Tyson had never lost, bookies would have put up ridiculous odds for Buster outright, at least 25/1, even in 1990
