i hate how hyped he is and that he actually gets HBO dates against nobodies and hasn't done anything in the ring... a damn joke to me honestly.

He's only had a handful of pro fights and already he's fighting top 20s at his weight class.

Similar to Lomachenko irt his pace moving as a pro, along with his storied amateur career, it's difficult to root against him.

He's got good power when he sits on his shots, and can be incredibly difficult to find when he's on the defensive.

That said, he's 33 already, and first thing to go is the legs. Something he's gonna rely heavily upon at such a lower weight class.

I think he'll win this IBF title fight, but I think he shoudl consider moving up directly afterwards and looking to finish strong at Bantam or SuperBantam.

Of course he'll have to make runs at SuperFly, but that shouldnt be much trouble considering his size, but after a few quick top 20 wins there, a title shot in 2016, then onto 118 and 122 before 2018.

Keep him fighting 4-5X/yr vs top 20s, and maybe he can challenge Rigo. He might just have the speed and power to handle Rigo.

We'll know more about him for sure when he moves up to 116.:good

FTR.....I think he's overpaid for what he's accomplished thus far......but Im not the one paying him, so NO MY PROBLEMO.:thumbsup:thumbsup:thumbsup

on one hand I respect this but on the other Olympic medals don't mean EVERYTHING. If you look back on all the past guys who medaled in boxing, not all of them achieve well in the pros.

I didn't like him at first but yeah, he's got a bit more pop in his shots now and is quite fun to watch.

Nope. Which is going to make it all the more irritating when he gets a gift over Ruenroeng.

There are lots of Americans I don't like. (Broner, Andrade, Bey Jr., Porter, Bundrage, Arreola, Ortiz, Mayfield, Spadafora, Mora)

You don't have to root for people from your own country. :yep

I'd favor Barnes to clearly beat him up (as I think Ruenroeng will) but I'll give the pampered little SOB this, he's tough, not sure about him being stopped.

Toughness and fast hands are really all Zou has going for him, IMO. Along with, you know, the most disproportionate financial backing a boxer has ever received in light of their actual talent and potential in the pros...

Yes. Anything that gets more attention to the lower is a good thing in my eyes. For many American fans he is pretty much the ONLY Flyweight they'll get bouts involving. Shame considering how brilliant the division is but any attention to the division is good.

I suppose in a way that is kind of true, much as I have to begrudgingly admit that Deontay Wilder is good for both American boxing and boxing in general, since he brings that "unpredictable heavyweight" excitement.

Both are hype jobs with big sideshow media hoopla they don't really deserve, but they may ultimately be good for the sport. :!:
