Don't like him, they're trying to manufacture a career for him in typical SN fashion. What happened to beating the best guys in the country and then the continent before you get a title shot? I don't know why they didn't just give him one for his debut. He says "definitely" far too often

I like Khan, he's never been in a boring fight. And he will be a world champion come June.

Sorry to say this, but if he was white then he wouldn't have so many haters. Which is ****ing disgraceful.

Think people need to realise it's not the 70's anymore.

Enzo... and at the moment Khan, has no place among those names...

I've always thought Khan was OK and generally don't mind him. I've stuck up for him countless times on here.

It's strange to see a sudden overnight shift in favour of him though. Boxing fans are very fickle.

That is utter bull****. If that was true then Naz would never have been half as popular as he was and still is. You are falling into the tabloid trap son.

Hated is a very strong word, most of the people on here who don't like him have said it is things like his dumb comments or the way he has been kept in cottonwool while FW and SN pick him a load of easy fights the same time as saying he is a world class act - that has given him a bad rep.
I used to really dislike Froch for having a big mouth and coming across as a twat.

I don't doubt that there are some idiots who do hate him because he is of Asian descent but believe me if they said anything of the sort they would be hounded out of the forum either by the majority of good guys who post or the mods.

ESB is rife with idiots and keyboard warriors not racists. 8)

im not a brit, but i used to hate khan vociferously a couple of years ago. i did'nt like that FW was manufacturing his career like he did to many in his stable. i did'nt like the hype around him. but for some reason, after his destruction at the hands of presscot, i've taken quite a bit to khan and hope he does good in the pro game. seems like a decent enough kid. he's usually the butt of jokes on boxing forums, but i'm pretty sure thats just in good fun. if khan turned out to be a decent fighter, im pretty sure those same people would have no qualms about that. after all if you love this sport, you'd appreciate new talent coming in to revitalize it.

Do I like Khan? No. Do I support Khan? No.

Why? because he is a hype job, who is being carefully matched, and who is arrogant enough to believe his own hype. I only support boxers who are willing to fight the best, not be a Warren puppet, and then actually buy into the hype themselves. I would love to see his chin get smashed to peices again.

It seems some people will not accept that some of us dont like hime due to his Hype and the way he avoids fighting anyone decent.

Hamed was one of the most loved fighters in the UK.

One things for sure, if I criticise Khan and his fanboys call me racist for it then I will love it even more the next time he gets KTFO

When Khan achieves as much as Lennox and Naz then you can put him on their level. He hasn't done that yet so don't jump the gun.

I think Khan's ok. I give credit to him for going over to the states and training with Roach and for taking the Kotelnik fight. That's a hard fight and he didn't have to take it.

Exactly, Hamed was a great fighter who fought the best and his hype was deserved. The reason we dislike Khan is because he is a fraud, and a Warren creation. Some of the boxing observers, like us, can actually think for themselves. Those who cannot think for themselves need to stop talking about something they know nothing about, the sport of boxing.

I like him, he's got a very good skillset and the best trainer in the world in his corner so i think he'll go far. Hopefully the chin issues can be sorted a little bit by the move to 140lbs, i heard Roach say his weight distribution in his body was far too top heavy so i would imagine they'll try to add the additional 5lbs to his legs which will hopefully make him a bit sturdier.

I've never seen the side of his personality that everyone says makes him an arrogant *****, he's just ambitious. I certainly don't like the fact that he's on PPV this early in his career and i wouldn't pay the £15 to watch him when i could watch it on the internet the next day, but that's more to do with his horrible **** of a promoter.

I respect and admire boxers based on their abilities, their deeds, their character and their conduct. Their nationality comes below all these. Their race and their religion is irrelevant.

I liked Khan during and after his Olympic campaign. He seemed like a humble lad with a decent style and a willingness to get better.

The first note of suspicion came with him pledging he was staying as an amateur for the Beijing olympics, then saying he'd turn pro but not for a few years, then turning pro, then taking his first pro fight, all within the space of 12 months. This in itself wasn't such a bad thing, he was a young lad and was entitled to change his mind, but it was the first sign that what he said and what he did didn't necessarily match up.

Since then it's been increasingly apparent that he was following the patented Frank Warren hype job path, and my respect for him decreased. I thought he was getting away from that when he took the Prescott fight, but the result kind of indicated the level he was really at. I respected him for taking the Barrera fight, and thought he fought pretty well, but the way he reacted to the win was a bit fake. For once, Don King was right; that should have been declared a 'no contest', and glorying in it seemed to be taking the **** a bit.

That said, I'm hoping he's on the up again. Hooking up with Roach has definitely been good for him and he seems to be coming out with less nonsense recently and has returned to a more realistic approach. I wish him well, but I'm not yet convinced. He's a developing fighter and the next few years will be crucial. I'll be supporting him against Kotelnik, but he's still a 'not sure' as far as I'm concerned.
