I find that I prefer to know who won before I watch a fight - even if it's on ESPN Classic I'll often look it up before watching. I guess it makes me tense to not know who will land the telling blow, who will take it in the end etc. I have a harder time watching live boxing for this reason, particularly if it's a fighter I have interest in. For instance watching Chris Byrd get pummeled recently was tough for me because he's a nice guy and I really didn't know what he'd bring to light-heavyweight. But I know a lot of you like to see it live, hence you're willing to buy PPVs rather than wait a week and save the money. Does it make it more thrilling this way? I guess I'm just looking for feelings and viewpoints. I like spoilers, why do you like or not like them?
I hate when people tell me who wins before I see the fight... When a big fight comes on, I avoid every boxing website just so I don't know... Even if it's wednesday night fights.. I avoid any and every boxing site until I watch... I like the surprise..
Same here though i still watch them if they aren't shown here but i always stay up till 5 and 6am for the boxing when there is an event on. Cotto vs Margarito, Clottey vs Judah to keep me up in the next few weeks.
If I had to list the top 5 angriest moments from my life during the last few years, at least three of them would probably be situations where someone told me the result or I accidentally found out the result of a fight I was very excited to watch. I can't understand how some people actually look at the result of a fight or a game, even though they could wait a few hours to watch a recording or downloaded version of it. That's insane. When I download a fight, I don't look at the file size and I don't see if the file completed downloading until the next day, that way I don't even know aproximately how long the fight lasted.
put money on a fight makes it a lot more exciting. i never yelled at a screen before I have money on the fight.
I remember listening to Bernard Hopkins vs Howard Eastman live on BBC radio and I jumping and screaming in my room can you believe it?
No way! Man your crazy. If i know the result to a fight and im not interested in either fighter then i dont watch. I love watching boxing but hate knowing the result unless obviously its a classic or a fight i enjoy watching. I have a few i can watch time and time again obviously knowing the outcome but i cant stop watching. Its just like with watching movies if its new and i have not seen it then i know the ending i just cant watch it. You are like my gf and likes to know the ending to any movie before watching it and when we watch old fights she has to know whos gonna win.

I watch as many fights live as I can afford for that reason: so I don't know and get some second-hand account. Much better this way, Dude. give it a try. Speaking of which, Casamayor and Marquez are gonna be at The Grand 13Sept. If your like me and don't mind the nose-bleed seats $75 is not a shabby price. Yep, you guessed it, I broke out the plastic today for this one.
