I think he's great. Talks to the media and interacts with the fans on twitter every week. He may not be perfect especially with all the PPVs you Brits have to pay for, but he at this point is better than Frank Waren, Mick Hennassy, Barry Mcguigan, etc and tries to make the best fights.

I love the way he has signed all the best English prospects and has given them grrat opportunities and has done well for them

However I don't like his reluctance to sign even more talented fighters from ireland and the rest of the uk and eg andrew selby, josh Taylor, paddy barnes ,tommy Mccarthy etc and I also his how his lowed the bar for what is ppv so much and will continue to push it . In his opinion a British level title fight and a few evenly matched fights between guys not even in the world top 10 is now ppv, this is ridiculous . That povetkin wach card wasn't even ppv and it's better than any card Eddie has ever put on

Used to like him, but not anymore.

He's done a tremendous amount for British Boxing in a small time, but his try colours are really starting to show now (monopolise this side of the pond and then bleed it dry).

You'd have to be completely blind not to see him for the sleazy creep he is.

I do admire his presence online and his willingness to adapt and move with the times, though. He's forward thinking I suppose...

Wembley was unreal in terms of Boxing fans being able to go there for a show (the finale was an awesome way to end the show), and his nights with Froch were pretty special. But putting AJ and Whyte as a PPV? Holding Kell's belt hostage? The amount of one-sided mismatches, too? It's a joke now. Poor taste at it's worst.

Everything (mainly everything) is in-house, too.

Brook/Gavin (Kell will have another mandatory soon)
Crolla vs anyone in his division (well, mainly anyone)

And if it's not in-house it's against the most unworthy of challengers!

And then some of his belt holders aren't really belt holders or are not needed (Quigg & Kell).

He also seem's to struggle to make WORLD CLASS fights between a brit and non-brit. He relies way too much on domestic fights. That's clearly his angle, but the divisions aren't filled with just brits.

He seemed like the saviour at first, but now he's just wrong for the game, IMO.

A lot of the blame has to fall on SKY for charging the fans to watch possibly one of the most unpopular sports under their control, but Hearn could at least give us REAL 50/50 fights instead of the Boxing equivalent of an international friendly when he puts these shows on.

  7. When the alternative is FW or Mick Hennessey, you can't help but accept he is pretty damn good at what he does; regardless of whether you like it or not.

He is definitely a mix, I get called his fan boy every day on here which really does not bother me, my opinion on the guy is that he seems to be a nice enough bloke, who is a good laugh and does a lot of media work so you always know exactly what is going on.

He obviously has weak points, he being a businessman tries to get every penny out of everything he can out of any situation, which whilst you cant blame him for trying, it isn't great for the fans as many people feel they pay enough for Sky as it is. He does struggle to make the best fights against international fighters which is very disappointing, I also feel he will never put his hand in his pocket enough to bring the biggest names over here. He does put on too many 'showcase' bouts with a very good prospect against a low level journeyman which is frustrating.

As I said before he does let everyone know exactly what he is thinking and he has taken British boxing to a new level in recent years, also unlike with certain other promoters he hasn't to my knowledge had any cases held against him for lack of payment or something of that nature, which of course is good for the fighters and many that you hear being interviewed always say that he doesn't break a promise he makes them.

All in all I think he is better for the boxers than he is for the fans, I am more positive than negative on the guy, but he does get us a lot of boxing to watch which to me is more important than anything, yes the quality may lack at times but id still rather watch a poor show than no show.

The poll options are what need editing. The title is fine.

I'd say this is fair. Why Sky see boxing fans as mug punters who can prop up pay for their ludicrously overpriced football deals is beyond me.

Have you ever created a poll thread?

The title and poll question are seperate. You can only edit the title.

Besides the question isn't the problem, its the poll options.
