Define "better", im thinking that by "better" you are thinking of this "amazing increase in metabolism" that quite a few people talk about.
    It dosen't work like that.
Heres a good article from www.leangains.com

Basically, try to balance your meals throughout the day... Make small sandwiches loaded with beneficial contents such as high protein meat, spinach, cheese, etc. Lay low on the mayo. Beyond that just sneak them in at work. That's what I usually do. Society gives one lunch but we as athletes establish higher nutrition standards than Barry the secretary...

I wish I could eat 5-6 small meals a day... Its supposedly healthy

But since I work a lot I don't have the time... I usually end up eating 2 or 3 small meals

You just gotta be organized, just plan your meals ahead of time.

There's a lot of things you could just fit into a lunch box that doesn't require refrigeration and can be eaten in a 5-10 minutes break.

not exactly its been proven that like most areas in your body your digestive system also needs a rest to recover, eat 5 to 6 meals for 3 months then for the next 3 months eat 3 meals a day, then the following 3 months go warrior diet or caveman diet, a warrior diet which is basically fruit in the morning, fruit in the afternoon then after 8.30pm you can eat what you like has been proven to give the digestive system time to recover, it also makes you produce less insulin which in turn increases the release of growth hormone in your body, it has studys which prove how successful this is to performance its not just some dudes theory, im a firm believer in allowing the digestive system this recovery considering how colon cancer is the highest growing cancer in the west over the last 5 years

Is the warrior diet really feasible if you work and train though? I finish boxing at about 8:30 so I'd have been fasted all day at work and for boxing but then eating a tonne right before I go to bed? I thought paleo diets and similar are mostly meant for inactive people looking to lose weight.

there are studies that show you can train on the warrior diet, i have read the book and it does say you can have a pre and post training meal if your training during the day, obviously i wouldnt recommend it with a fight coming up or if your training for a tournament, i tried it when rehabilitating my back and found it very interesting, i did notice some gains in certain areas

I hate the thought that 6 meals a day is only for people who workout/ no about it. The majority of people do it with out noticing and once they read about it think they are changing there eating pattern.
    E.g
A kid in nursery who has breakfast, milk time( milk and biscuits or w.e), lunch, tea( not the drink its actually a meal here in uk) when he gets home and then dinner. Thats 5.
In secondary school most people have breakfast, eat at break, eat at lunch, eat when they finish school/ get home, eat dinner. Again 5
Work, breakfast, you see people snacking at work on crisps etc, lunch, another snack, dinner. Again thats 5
So it wont really be that hard seeing as most people who eat 6 times a day have 3 main meals and 3 snack meals

I don't think amount of meals is as important as people think, unless they want to get their metabolism faster

recent studys have shown smaller more frequent meals do not actually boost metabolism as previously thought, metabolism wont change with 3 meals compared to 5 or 6

edit; read jeffs post and check out this link

this goes into the problems with regular meals and the pros of fasting

Southpawslayer - you saved me a lot of time bro:good.
However the link you posted does contain some bull****, about burning 50 calories a meal, but the overall idea is spot on, and a much shorter version of my very long winded link. If you have the time i would recommend giving it a good read as it has the scientific evidence behind it, and there is a lot of good stuff on that website.

Please define healthy? What makes it healthy, and what scientific evidence/reasoning backs it up?

Scientific evidence proves theres no difference in meal frequency.

In regards to body composition, it's not and comes down to personal preference over anything else, although that changes if you're an athlete.
