I do not want to see Manny go out like Roy Jones although I do believe Manny was cheating at a certain point in his career. He’s a solid dude otherwise

Everybody has different preferences in styles and fighters. But my God, Pacquiao from 2003-2009 was the greatest entertainer since Michael Jordan or Michael Jackson. I think there is an argument to be made for that, I really do. Not even talking about how great he was, how much you liked his personality, or how good he was at boxing. You just knew that in his prime you were about to get the greatest concert of your life. Almost every fight from that time period was like OMFG I love this. With a couple of exceptions like the Solis and 2nd Barrera fight, they weren't really that great.

Dude how was Pac not better than them? Do you see Pac walk through Cotto's shots? Pac had a ruptured ear drum in the 2nd round. Then let Cotto him to test his power. And Pac just kept coming through shot after shot after shot. Then Pac threw about 13,000 power punches and got Cotto to break down. Pac was the ****.

Pac's a better man now than he was back then. But not even close to the same fighter. The classic IDGAF Pac with the no flame shorts was boss.

He never denied Erik Morales credit for his victory. Pac said it was difficult to see due to the cut, but never implied that Erik won because of that. Hell, Roach even said "Erik won the fight, there's no doubt about that".

So if you get a time machine and have a 2006 Pac fight Lomachenko right now you wouldn't be like OMFG, I can't wait?

Yes. I have missed him for close to 8 years. (The last time he was genuinely still at the top of his game) Since then it has all been mostly smoke and mirrors.... holding on to fading glory and eroding skills and reflexes.

The point exactly. he was on PEDS big time. even roach had problems with the ariza situation. broken eardrum and was stronger in round 10 than in round 1?

Cotto was always a low stamina fighter. He was prone to break down and tire. Pac just took advantage of Cotto's lack of physicality. Cotto was also known to be a little "cute" with his style. Flashy footwork, defense and counters. But he wasn't as tough and grizzled for the constant war of attrition that Pac gave him.

he didn't have stamina issues. no flashy nothing on cotto. pac was on peds. everyone knows that.
that is why marquez got a pass when he was on them for destroying pac last time.

I miss prime Pac (and pre-prime). He was easily the most exciting thing in boxing. No one like him now.

Roach never gets any flack from me he has constantly been pretty real admitting they lost.
