Floyd doesn't think he can beat Pac that is the reason he won't fight Pac.

I'm as confident as you are that Floyd schools Manny....but that begs the question - why hasn't the fight been made? If it's an easy win and a $30M+ pay day for Floyd, why aren't we watching it next month? This is what I can't figure out.

All what you've stated is the obvious. Floyd a great boxer. He's at this level for a reason. He didn't get here the easy way, that's for sure. Floyd is a professional in that ring and how he dedicates and prepares himself.

With that said.....Floyd ducked PAC. Floyd is smart and he knows there is a lot more risk involved with taking on Manny than there was with Shane or JMM. That's why he's acting completely out of character when it comes to solidifying this fight with PACMAN. The money's right...the timings right....but Floyd's confidence is NOT right.

For the first time in Floyd's career he's NOT confident in the "WIN". So he has to re-set, re-evaluate his focus and see if the money is worth more than the chance of losing what his entire career is based on....being undefeated?!

At the moment the money doesn't out weight Floyd's wish to stay undefeated simply b/c he has enough money right now.

PAC has exposed Floyd on so many levels out of the ring the likely situation in the ring will be Floyd getting exposed if the two ever meet. It's not a good look for Floyd at the moment.

I just wish FLOYD had YOUR confidence.....then we wouldn't be talking about it happening...we would be talking about "when it does happen".

If you think PAC is just a brawler who is "one demensional" unfortunately you're gonna be in for a very rude awakening should Floyd find the "URGE" to fight again. Win, lose or draw Floyd is gonna take a lot of punisment regardless of the outcome.

So if you expect an easy fight for Floyd I suggest you take off the rose colored lenses so you come off like a complete novice with regards to the sweet sciecne. If Floyd is THIS difficult to make a fight happen you gotta question "WHY". Floyd's not stupid when it comes to his career, obviously. Sure outside the ring he's not exactly "smart"...but he's not fighting PAC for a simple reason and his fans are the only one's who fail to see it.

:rofl This is the same pattern EVERY top fighter goes through....Same with PAC....everyone they tell PAC to fight and he fights, dominates and moves on there is always anther name taht PAC won't beat...when he does there are excuses to why he won. ect...ect.. ect. Comes with being the best. :dead

:rofl Oh yea......you don't have a choice in the matter. Chances are Floyd's lack of confidence is valid and if he does actually end up surprising the world and he finds his balls to step up to face Manny and loses....this thread is gonna be bumped for a LOOOOOOONG time. I hope you got thick skin...b/c you'll need it with all the over confident posts you've made underestimating PAC and OVER estimating Floyd.

The only example I can use to best compare and explain why is the picture of that man you have as your avatar. SRL retired and claimed he lost his urge when the public was calling for him to fight Hagler. Like SRL was boxings top earner and boxer with the highest standard out of his era. I can't help but notice the similarities SRL and Floyd share(5 time champions in 5 weight classes, alleged women beaters). I think history has a way of repeating itself with Floyd proving he was the best of his era.

Its all about money for Money May.

He doesnt want the fight this year because it would be in the same tax year that he made his money with Mosley.Atleast thats a big part of it IMO.

The fight will get made. Its best to forget about it and just focuss on the good fights we have coming up in Nov,Dec...But yeah i know, thats an impossible thing to do.

It's ironic that there are people who believe that Floyd will beat Pacquiao badly, when Mayweather himself is scared shitless. Scared enough to text his BFF in the middle of the night over it, slap around his woman, and go into hiding, erm I mean vacation.

Maybe they are writing this **** as a projection of how they expect Mayweather to be, instead of the coward he really is? It's ironic indeed.

Leonard is above Floyd in all areas of boxing aside from the undefeated record. And Ray did hit a woman and he is a 5 division champ and they are both african americans....that's where the simarlities stop. Style wise Ray is offensive minded and never DUCKED any fighter and never was as arrogant outside the ring either.

I think this fight will be as "easy" as any of Floyds other fights. The hardest part is Floyds mental preparation as your post states then the physical preparation of training. The easy parts will be the promoting which Floyd has taken care of alot about this time and the actual fight. The first rounds may be "difficult" but as soon as Floyd adapts its a done deal. Manny when faced with adversity is like Paul Williams. He'll throw the same combinations and punches over and over again like a broken record. He can't adapt for ****. Unlike Manny Floyd doesn't have rhythm that Manny will get a feel for. His style depends on his opponent so it will be up to Manny to really rise to the occasion. Floyd indeed uses the rhythm of his opponent against them then ****s them even more with broken rhythm. Its quite a spectacle to see. Manny by the way doesn't adapt. He just outguns. Theres a huge difference. He's really only foughten 2 and a half counter punchers(EM,JMM,Clottey) who combined don't equal the skill of Floyds mastery to counter. So in essence what I'm saying is Manny's greatest strenth especially if he lands nothing significant will be his weakness against a fighter like Floyd. You see Manny will be out of his element. His best chance of winning like Shane will be to land a big shot to grant him a KO. If not the irony is that Manny will be a sitting "duck".

Sorry Floyd doesn't have a Hagler,Hearns or Duran(honorable mention Benitez) to define him. Manny is the only opponent you could count as close. Maybe PW can be a bootleg Hearns. Cotto and Shane fall short. :huh
