Yeah he was definitely a steroid cheat. Failed a test, came up with a BS excuse. A lot of fighters back then would of been doping, you'd have almost no chance of getting caught and as the RJJ situation proves, there were not even any consequences to failing a test, no suspension, no fines, nothing because the state had no legal right to test for PED's in the first place. Wrap your head around that, you could literally refuse a test back then because they had no legal right to test you in the 2000.

It's professional sport, and you're asking if a top level athlete used steroids?

Very likely but he wasn’t the only fighter of the 90’s to do such. Didn’t matter in the end as his Chin was total Glass and he was exposed as having no Plan B in a fight.

I don't think he was taking "steroids", I think he was likely taking supplements that would be considered performance enhancing. Personally I think every pro fighter is taking something that could be considered performance enhancing. I do not think every fighter is taking concoctions like what J. Miller was taking however.

I am answering you directly because I want to make this very clear. There is no belief in this. He failed a drug test. Period. End of story.

Everything special about Jones came out of a bottle. He is a fraud. People hate to hear this, but it is true.

I remember watching Jones putting his hands behind his back dodging Kelly's punches and cracking Kelly upside the head for a KO. As a kid, it was the most amazing thing I had ever seen. I've never seen anyone move that fast.

The steroid era had some amazing stuff. Sosa and McGuire dinging balls every game. Bonds single season homerun record that will never be broken. Just wow.

The difference between Jones and Bonds is that he could have killed someone.

Thats not true, boxing commisions could test fighters but the NSAC for example was not testing for hardcore PED's, those goons were testing to see if fighter had marijuana in their system. Marijuana is a decreases your physical performance, not enhances it and yet they were nullifying wins of fighters if they tested positive for marijuana.
Boxing commisions were testing for specific drugs only. It was'nt until this whole debacle with Mayweather wanting PED's tested for a proposed fight with Pacquiao did boxing commisions open their eyes to further testing that involved testing for hardcore PED's.

    Definitely on gear.

He, along with his opponent, Richard Hall, got positive results for ped's after the fight.

Don't forget he was a freak without the gear. On gear, he is superhuman.

I think ped's should be legal and regulated. It's happening now anyway, just not controlled and regulated.

Doesn't matter even if he did. Steroids don't make you faster or more explosive. RJJ, at least IMO, was the most singular raw talent the sport has ever seen. He was the Matrix.
