No. Some people are just born with special gifts. He was always special from when he was barely a teen.

I believe that you’ve spent most of your life getting punched in the head, I don’t doubt it for a second.

Steroids don't give you the speed, athleticism and reflexes that Roy had.

Saying Ruth wouldn't be as successful in today's era, as if he didn't hold the home run record for 40 years.

Today's pitchers are throwing 100+ mph heat and their breaking balls are hard with insane movement. Babe Ruth would look helpless at the plate. He's not going to be hitting 80 mph fastballs. Be real.

Even with that, only 4 players in the HISTORY of baseball have ever hit 700 home runs. It's almost like hitting a home run is really, REALLY hard, regardless of how fast pitchers can throw.

It's easy when you're teeing off of slow fastballs. Imagine them replicating that feat against today's flame throwing pitchers. Their home run numbers would plummet. And that's the point.

It is very hard in any case. But statistically, 100mph fastballs are hit for a run 3x less when thrown than 95mph fastballs.
