Do you prefer boxers who talk no bull/ always respect opponents and act gentlemanly?

I dont mind it either , the thing i dont like is when a boxer is deceiving his fans , i think oscar is all fakesmiles a lot of the time , though i respect him plenty as a fighter. And how Hatton tells the world he is a world champ in 2 weights because he beat Collazo ! And he says how he has won so many world titles (which never meant anything) , just so people will come and pay to see him fight

 

Yep, for me it's all about what's "real". If two fighters genuinely can't stand each other, then I don't mind them talking back and forth and making threats. When they are doing it purely for the camera and don't care one way or the other about each other, then it's boring and I lose interest. In general I think they should respect one another, and I prefer when guys like Cotto just come to fight.

I'm not delusional, but am just stating fact.

Hatton was the welterweight world champion, just like Frank Bruno was heavyweight, Enzo Maccarinelli cruiserweight etc. Whether or not you feel each one is the best 'champion' in their division, is up to you.

Hatton is a two weight champ, though its clear to anyone that he has never been the best welterweight in the world, just like Mayweather was never the best lightwelterweight IMO.

 

You need to just stop while your behind , theyre called titlists , not champions

I prefer fighters who act like themselves, fighters who don't assimilate to what the mainstream wants from them. As long as they are being themselves then to me that is all that matters.

Boxing would be rubbish if everyone sat on the fence in interviews. Likewise, if everyone was trashtalking it would become a circus

A mix of personalities keeps things interesting

 

It doesn't matter too much. I respect those who are respectful to others, but I understand those who talk trash are just hyping which is okay by me because it creates the story, the drama that we all so love.

 

If they have the skills to back up those words, bring on the hate, but if they get KO, bring on the shame

 

The sport needs both good guys and bad guys. Helps to sell tickets!
