Do you put any stock in anything at boxrec?

    i mean their ratings,their guesses at scheduled fights,etc?

    Their ratings are more credible than the ABCDUBN ratings imo.

    The rating system isn't perfect but it's a thousand times better than the sanctioning bodies rankings which can clearly be bought. Being ranked in the top 10 by a sanctioning body means nothing other than your promoter has either more influence, paid a bigger bribe or more likely both.

    Their modern rankings are fine, but their ATG rankings are ludacris considering the bums the former champions padded their resumes with.

    There are far more good fighters nowadays, which in turn thins the points system out.

    But BR is great for measuring a fighters resume against another fighters resume with similar W/L records.:think

    I really only use it to reference a fighters resume, even boxrec admit their rankings are at best flawed but hen, who do you use for unbiased rankings, I used to go by Ring mags mostly but isn't there a pundit judged system out there with McGrain on their board?

    All nonsense anyway because its not like theirs a league system in place here he top ten have to face each other regularly
