Do you rate Darchinyan in the P4P Top 10

I think he could crack it. Mijares looked horrible, and it may have been Vic's style that caused that. He certainly must still be behind Donaire, which would mean with Mijares leaving out we would have to bump someone else out of the top 10, given how one-sided the fight was an easy case could be made for him to be top 10.

He wasn't top 10 P4P before Donaire though, at least I and most people I knew didn't think so.

 

If Vic just got lucky that is one thing...but he outboxed the guy. Mijares kept making the same mistakes. He showed a low boxing IQ. He could not adapt to be effective. And stop bending his head in and Vic was ****ing sharp with his punches. He was timing Mijares. That is a Vic domination.

Donaire beating Vic at fly isnt as big a win as Vic beating Mijares at Superfly.

Might seem weird but I probably would rank Vic a bit ahead of him, purely because he has the better overall resume.

Id have to think about where Vic ranks p4p..Either just out or just in of the top 10 at the moment.

good sets of wins in his comeback fights: z gorres, kirilov and now mijares.
although the gorres fight was officially a draw, i feel that he won it by 1~2 points. i don't know if it is enough to crack top 10. maybe top 15.

if he beats montiel, easily top 10.

 

I like Vic, but he is not a p4p fighter. Which makes the exposure of the hype-job Mijares even sweeter.

I agree that he shouldn't be necessarily over Vic, the argument exists, but Donaire hasn't had any bad results since obliterating Darchinyan, he is a better overall fighter in terms of ability and skill. I could envision Vic winning a rematch, but I just think Donaire has his number. I can't place Darchinyan over Donaire as of the moment despite his better resume and impressive showing tonight.

 

I actually agree.

A lot of people will jump ship and base their opinions on today's results, which is fair enough in a way but I do also think Donaire has Vic's number.

No way Vic lets Nonito do that to him again, he fought dumb and pretty much gave Donaire that fight on a platter.
But still think Donaire has the right mix of attributes and gameplan to eventually get to Vic.
Closer fight this time, and if a stoppage comes in would be later on but still would go with Nonito.

 

I got the two time world champ is now legit after that impressive display of destruction of heavily favored Mijares. Vic deserve credit for that win. He should be in top 10 for sure. Well done Vic. Vic destroys and exposes 2 champions at 115..

A one-sided destruction of a man virtually everyone had in the top 10 is the kind of win that puts you there. Margarito is in because of his knockout over Cotto, the argument for Darchinyan to be top 10 P4P isn't that hard to make as of now.

 

It just shows how shallow the talent is at the top if Vic and Margarito are in the top 10. atsch
