No. Way too careful in his matchmaking, very underwhelming list of wins compared to other greats. His career up until 2006 is unforgivable for someone supposedly on the great scale. Very good for me, not great.
Yes I loved watching him fight underrated IMO. I still think he retired too soon had a couple more fights left in him.
Except Loma did the opposite of what Calzaghe did. Loma didn't wait around for 30 fights defending a lightly regarded belt.
Which greats? There are varying degrees of greats.. But overall yes, I consider him a HOF ATG SMW. No doubt... Huge fan.
