No. Way too careful in his matchmaking, very underwhelming list of wins compared to other greats. His career up until 2006 is unforgivable for someone supposedly on the great scale. Very good for me, not great.

Who should he have fought and how do you think he would have done?

Yes I loved watching him fight underrated IMO. I still think he retired too soon had a couple more fights left in him.

WTF is this ****? Anyone with common sense knows Calzaghe was one of the very best of the era.

Except Loma did the opposite of what Calzaghe did. Loma didn't wait around for 30 fights defending a lightly regarded belt.

Which greats? There are varying degrees of greats..

But overall yes, I consider him a HOF ATG SMW. No doubt...

    Huge fan.

No. NO. NO ****ING WAY. He would have been an ATG pimp with the way he ***** slapped, but no, I'm sorry, I'm not rating that clown anywhere near Hagler, Hearns, Duran, SRL, etc., etc.

He was a good fighter, maybe HOF level but not a chance in he'll should he be considered "great." At what? Andre Ward would have made a ****ing mess out of that shitheap known as Joe Calzaghe.
