If Wlad beats 6 more Top10 opponents, I will rank him in the Top10 of all time at heavyweight.

    *I go with Ring ratings.

    BINGO. :good

Is he a good guy?... yep.

Is he a skilled HW?... yep.

Is he the best out there at HW?... yep.

    Is he marketable?... yep.

Are people scratching their heads as to why he is so boring, shows zero enthusiasm and plods through his fights by slapping and holding?... YEP

    Case closed.

That's like saying if Floyd beats Cotto and Margarito, he'd have beaten some pretty good welterweights.

Wlad is fighting Thompson in July and all being well, Povetkin probably in November. That's the three for the year right there.

You say that he's marketable and Boring at the same time? There's a contradiction there.

Has what 46 or 47 KO's yeah Knockouts are usually the most boring part of boxing...He does show emotion every time he fights and you could tell he was disappointed and upset when he didn't knock Sultan out.

Just because he doesn't thank jesus and spew some ignorant bull**** after his fights doesn't mean he doesn't have emotion

Totally unfair. Shaky chin or bad stamina does not equal no heart. Wlad has gotten up or tried to get up from every knockdown he ever suffered and tried his best to fight on. Watch the Sanders fight, where he gets bombed with extremely heavy punches, yet tries to fight on in a severely hurt state. Wlad also almost went into a coma from exhaustion against Brewster.

Why is it Brewster never gets called a coward with no heart when he did a "no mas" in the rematch? It´s because he doesn´t have all the haters Wlad has.

Lack of heart is not displayed by facing the top available boxers all the time either. Peter, Brock, Byrd, Brewster, Ibragimov and now Thompson and Povetkin = all in the top 10 when he fought/fights them.

Shame it's possibly the weakest HW division ever

    Pa-leeeeeeeeeeeeze! :-(

No contradiction at all. He COULD be marketable for all the reasons I listed. He ISN'T because he fights like he is scared. Plain and simple.

He was "disappointed" that he didn't knock Sultan out???? :rofl Give me a break. How could he knock his opponent out when all he did was slap down sultans jabs and then smack-jab himseld the entire fight? Can't KO your opponent when you throw less than a handful of power shots the ENTIRE fight.

The man needs to step it up and start beating the less than mediocre opponents in front of him with a bit of fire and pizazz. He would be tremendously popular if he'd just start fighting a bit more exciting. Period.

i dont think it can be argued that Wlad is beating who they put in front of him and guys like Thompson and Potvetkin are well ranked fighters, fact is nobody cares if they are well ranked, nobody cares where they are from or where they are going. Thompson is the best American heavyweight out there and is fighting for the Heavyweight Championship of the World - but nobody cares who he is.

I rather watch David Haye get sparked in a good heavyweight title fight than watch Wlad defend his heavyweight title successfully with a **** fight!

True, Wlad is doing his job and deserves respect for it, but the excitement is just not there like it was when Holyfield/Tyson/Lewis were fighting each other

Beating Ibragimov in a unification, Povetkin and Thompson is pretty decent, given the state of the divison. But it's still far from great... not Wlads fault tho

    Vlad is still underrated IMO.

BoxRec is decent with their ratings-better than most out there.
