Do you really believe that 168 pounders hit harder then 160 pounders?

The weigh in will be interesting. I think it will really hit home how badly Lockett is out of his depth, not only skills wise, but physically. He'll look like a junior middle next to Pavlik

    :yep

I don't recall which is which, but I read on a site the other day that Lockett is only ranked # 20 by one other ABC, and not at all by the other two.

ABC's are bogus anyhow. How can you have such a wide disparity in top 10? Oh! Money?!!!

    good point.

Have you seen the new interview of Pav on the confidential boxing site? Interesting as hell. They are saying on there that Abraham is looking to chase an ODH fight, rather than fight Pavlik. Pavlik's disdain is clear when he says that ODH is a much easier fight.

I might try to imbed that shiz here in a minute to a thread.

Early lunch. Company is sending me 'far away' for the rest of the day. ESB'ers everywhere want to do the same..... Posting some local news paper links to 3 articles.

I agee. With Pav it's all about technic, accuracy, and volume. I think Bronco McKart hit the nail right on the head after Pavlik handed him his first ever KO loss. He said; "It's not that he hits ya that hard. It's just that everything he throws has somethin' on it." Compare the following two clips, and you'll see a real difference between Pavlik, and a guy with one punch KO power.

i think its fair to say on the whole at heavier fighters would hit harder than their lighter counterparts. Pavlik may well be one of the many exceptions but one thing cant be ignored is that Pavlik hasnt knocked anybody out at 168lbs yet. There is no saying that he will be able to carry his power up. he'll probably find that natural super middleweights dont fall down as quick as his previous oponents.

I really like this interview. Kelly is a likable guy. :good

But who wouldn't choose Oscar? Arum/Pavlik? I don't think so. At least they went/go after a Trinidad fight.

A lot of people would have read on out of morbid curiosity.

Though the statement is not believed to be truth by the author.

Froch and Berrio hit harder than Kelly for sure, no doubt about it.

What's with the Pavlik crazy craze lately anyway, lads?:blood

This is a good post, and I get your point, but your facts aren't exactly on target. Pavlik has scored 5 KO's at 168 and above, but they were all scrubs. When Pavlik fought at 170, he blew the guy out in 2 rounds, but that was Eric Olds; hardly a stellar figure in the boxing world. The only fighter worth a **** that Pavlik has fought above 160 was Taylor, and it's my opinion that the weight made zero difference. Taylor simply fought a much better, smarter fight the second time around.
