There has been talks about a possible clash between to of the best fighter in the planet, Ward and Kovalev. But will Ward really take the fight? Personally I don't think so. Ward was called out by Bute and Stevenson and refused to take these opportunities.

If he does though, I will have big respect for him.

PS: Sorry for my English, it is not my first language.

A lot of people don't but if he did sign that HBO 3 fight deal with a Kovalev fight being in the contract he would get in trouble legally if he breached that. Only way without getting sued by HBO is a career ending injury. But I have noticed he has been wearing prescription glasses lately and may have eye problems that will get worse next year.

I don't see why he wouldn't. He's been M.I.A for years, he can't get Stevenson, Degale, Dirrells, Beterbiev, Chavez Jr because of the promotional crisis and he can't just sit around and wait for the MW champion to move up to 168 which is doubtful if he can make that weight. Kovalev is the only choice for him if he wants to build a legacy and become a ppv star.

Yes, and Ward will step over Kovalev to become undisputed #1 P4P best fighter in the world.

I believe he will...and he can win it. I don't think he WILL win, but it's possible. Wouldn't even shock me for Ward to floor him.

Well, he's signed up for it, so, I guess that I have to believe it. I never thought that he would sign, TBH. Maybe Ward really does think that he is the SOG.

No. He may be signed up for it but i dont believe he will face him. Hope im wrong, hope im just being negative and cynical but something tells me Ward doesnt want it and his "tune ups" for facing the king of LHW are not guna be tuning him at all hes not even fighting LHW,s.

I'm cynical as well, I'm sure there'll be something to prevent it from happening, usually fights planned way in advance rarely happen..

Huge props to Ward if he takes it though, that cannot be understated.

He signed a deal with HBO, so he has no choice, unless of course he ends up losing in his next fights.

If and he should be able to cruise past Alexander Brand, hopefully he fights Andrzej Fonfara next.

So you think that Kovalev will duck Ward?
