One of the chief problems with Floyd isn't his skills, but his physical attributes. Give him Margarito-style hand-speed had he'd be terrible. My view is that in order to beat Floyd you need insane physical attributes to compensate for his: exceptional chin, speed, stamina, power and the like. There simply isn't a boxer alive whose skills are comprable to his, and so they need to overcome him purely with pure atheltic, somatic makeup.

Therefore, theorietically, no. In reality, hell yes.

No. You can beat anyone with the right combination of skills. Problem is that by the 4th round Mayweather gets it and starts pummeling you.

My opinion is it's a good tool to have but I would rather throw my money on other skills and attributes not just a jab... like size difference power, speed, offensive technician, you ain't outboxing mayweather on the backfoot... you have to be an offensive machine like Ortiz was able to get succes, like castillo was able to get success. You need the chin to keep going ahead and not respect any of his fancy moved and just straight punch his body corner him and unload...you need stamina to unleash bombs on this slick mother****er, and the power to out muscle him and not even respect him... I'll put my money on a big, powerful skillfull offensive technician... ortiz had the tool but he wasn't ripe yet.. he was inexperienced... but he sure had the tools.. and lacked some other skills to be able to beat Mayweather... like a style when fighting on the backfoot.. ortiz doesn't fight good going backwards when Mayweather was walking him down.
