Do you really think Groves v DeGale II will be big enough to fill Wembley by 2016

I've noticed Hearn & DeGale have been talking about this for Wembley in 2016. Personally I think it's way off being that big- even if Groves wins a world title.

They should just do it this year at one of the bigger arena's or smaller stadiums.

Groves is pretty popular and if it were a unification it could do good numbers but Wembley? Can't see it myself.

Stamford Bridge would make more sense. Could see it doing 40k quite easily.

I think so. Both holding world titles, both have a lot of history. Sure there would be some big names on the undercard too.

With a UK version of 24/7 it can definitely happen.

I don't think it does huge numbers, but could see it doing the O2 or similar.

Then again WTF do i know, i said i'd be amazed if Froch Groves did more than 30.000

For what its worth i think Groves beats him again.

gone yes, the first one when they were 10/12 fight novices sold well, as a unified world championship bout it will do better, with a potential card as degale groves, brook vs chavez/rios/Bradley/guerrero, Mitchell/crolla/Campbell/burns fighting each + AJ facing a decent opponent it should be a decent card. Think groves is a good talker, and the pre fight build up should be good.

if tickets are 30/40quid for most of the ground, its not that much more than the 20quid ppv too.

Depends what you mean by "fill" - will it do 80,000? Probably not, but I wouldn't be surprised if it does 60,000.

Froch v Groves was effectively a one fight show, DeGale Groves will need Anthony Joshua on it, & preferably Kevin Mitchell in a title defence if he beats Lineres (which he won't)

If Hearn and Sky can get 200,000+ people to buy Bellew - Clev II, then nothing is beyond them.

    True.

DeGale and Culkin are beyond charmless but it seems anything sells these days...

Can't see it happening maybe if they go crazy at press conferences trying to lump each other. General public have forgotten about past beef and with Froch levelling groves he really needs to work his way back up.

Possibly, a unification fight between two British fighters is very rare thing indeed and given the fact they both seem to genuinely dislike each other the needle between the two would generate some hype.

You can sell almost anything with the right marketing as people have a herd mentality. Just look at Haye vs Chisora, two guys who each got shut out by a Klitschko but people forgot about that and the fight became huge just because they had a fight at a press conference.
